Does anyone have a headlamp assm for a 86-87 700-750 that is in good condition that they are willing to part with for a reasonable price? I just received all my body parts back from paint was removing the damaged front cowl & found that the locating dowels are both broke off my headlamp.
She is going to look pretty sharp when back together, went w/ a 2004 GM met. Blue w/ silver & chrome decals under the clear.

Try "Motorcycle Salvage" in Morristown, TN. (423) 581-4699. I was down there about 3 months ago and they had an 86-87? But, it was pretty well stripped. They should be willing to ship it to you, but if they can't (won't), PM me and I might be able to run down there and pick it up for you, then hand it off to the UPS man. It is about 50 miles from me, but it is fun to go there every once in a while to pilfer through the bones of neglected, abused and tortured bikes.
Thinking about the ocean of bike remains they have there kinda makes me want to:Cry: WHY...WHY did they have to die so young????

They only had one for a 500, but thanks for the info & the offer; if you feel like going for a ride anyway in the near future you could check it out in person. I know thing get lost in the shuffle in salvage yards sometimes.

The good thing about this salvage yard is, everything is indoors. It is an huge, old tobacco warehouse. I'll look when I go back if you don't find one.
