I missed it last year due to no one posting *before* I left for work. :duh:

Plan on riding to work Weds, 16 July. It might help one cager realize there are some sane riders (or not :vtr2:) and ..

you'll get to exercise that left hand/arm as you wave to more folks than usual.
Even the Harley guys might wave to you. :flip:

Hope to see you out there. You might even get your bike blessed :pope2:

I'm all over it. I hope it doesn't rain because I really don't have user friendly rain attire at this time.

Andy Goldfine of Aerostitch started the Ride to work day. Very cool.

For me up I-75 in very heavy construction is a pass. Heavy trucks, gravel and dust. Not much fun and fricken risky. Riding to work for me is a pass. Need the cage for battle.

I'm in Texas so I won't be able to ride that day.
I can't believe how much squid is out here.
I'm yet to see one dude wearing a helmet.

    Same here.

My commute is only 15 minutes though so I usually go out at lunch for 45 minutes and hit a couple of curves in the area. It's 90 today so with my helmet, jacket, and gloves I'm now a little sweatier than I was before lunch....

Got my VFR sitting in the parking lot at work right now, next to my coworker's Harley (I know, he rides a Harley, but he's still a good guy).

Usually ride to work if it isn't raining.

yodasmile I didnt knew that today was Ride to work day. So that would be a big NO. The weather looked kind of crazy today. I ride tomorrow, got some errands to do, and the bike will be perfect for that.

I got up for a nice walk this morning - smoke on the water calm.

Rode to breakfast with a buddy in Deale and passed by many bikes I had not seen before. Took time for twisties. Passed betweens corn fields and meadows with the morning sun-rays burning through the stalks with the bright green/dark green and yellow rays poking through the rising mist and lighting the dark/light sections of road that signalled where the morning dew had not yet left. Slowed to a crawl passing over a short bridge that crossed the mouth of a large tidal inlet on the west and the chesapeake bay stretching to the east with the bright red sun peeking over the eastern Delmarva pennisula.

It is a good day to be alive and a good day to ride -to work, or to see a friend, or to burn irreplacable fossil fuels with a v-4 exhaust note to the glory of man's dominion over earth.

I grinned most of the 70 miles this morning...and will hum Super Tramp in my helmet on a different long way home tonight. my daughter got her braces off and momma is cooking silver queen corn on the cob in celebration. God is good.
