Just wanted to introduce myself before I start taking advantage of eveyone's experience. Not new to motorcycles but I am picking my first VFR up this Thursday. I have already put a down Payment over the phone. I hope I am getting a good deal. Brand New 2006 Black on the showroom floor. $8499. I don't know what a taken me so long to get a VFR I have been lusting over them since I was 16 y/o. 35 y/o now. Started out with a 600 Katana in 1991, in 1995 GSXR 750 which hooked me big time, tried a Shadow Spirit 1100 for a little while but was not happy at all. Restored a 1984 V65 Magna will post some pictures of it later just to show off. It was a blast to ride and work on. But still looking for that one bike that fits me perfect. Bought a Triumph Trophy 900. Very comfortable but no sport bike. Was bored and sold it. Been bikeless for about year and a half. I have never purchased a new bike. Decided to quit searching and buy what I have always wanted. I believe I will keep this one forever. I am looking forward researching this site and taliking with you.

    Talk to you soon,
    Jeremy

Welcome aboard!! You sound alot like me with your past bikes. I've loved VFR's since about 1988. Bought a Suzuki Katana 600 in 1992 for a good beginner bike. In 1995, picked up a GSXR 750. I liked it alot but it was really uncomfortable. Still always wanted a VFR. There's just something about that single sided swing arm and V4 sound that make heads turn.

So, about 2 months ago, I found an '05 with 2000 miles. I had to have it. And I absolutely LOVE it. I wouldn' trade it for anything.

These guys on this board know more than you could imagine about this bike. I've learned so much and everyone has been super helpful. Don't be shy about asking anything....somebody will know the answer and point you in the right direction.

    Purrty bike BTW!!
