Saw this on you tube. Go to you tube, type in (Ghostrider) in search he has made serveral vids. I know he will get flamed here and I agree but at the same time I kinda admire him for some dark reason. One thing is for sure though he can ride the hell out of a bike. Theres also a guy named blackprice who did a run around a freeway that circles paris in 1989 vid quality not that good on that one cuase its old but whooa also. blackprice search on u tube for that one.

Let the flames and drools begin.

yea, ive seen a lot of ghostrider vids to date, and honestly, its stuff that everybody wants to do somewhere in the back of their head, but that kinda riding is just impractical and irresponsible on the streets. besides, think about it....theres always another camera further into his ride.....its quite obvious most if not all of those vids are staged anyways.

Im thinking by staged that he has friends who know what route he is gonna run so that in some of his vids they can flim him passing by. Yes he is out of his dam mind imo with regard to his own life much less others Id never in a million years go anywhere close to that fast on public roads or even a track for that matter. I do admire his skills though.

Your right......... the guy can ride but if he keeps ridin like that among general public he WILL die and maybe someone else for that matter. I admire ability and skill but not at the expense of life. Its guys like him that piss me off and make me realize why cagers sometimes hate us.

Initially thought the same after buying an early Vid of his in '04 but after a while found it quite dull and sameish.

Watching MotoGP like last weeks on the edge Rossi Vs Stoner tussle or this years WSB now that is exciting riding.

yea imma have to agree with ya there....regardless of the fact that its the greatness that is MotoGP, i doubt any class of racing will top the Laguna Seca GP race this year....i just wish stoner couldve held it for 9 more laps and made the ending a little more exciting than a 13 second gap between 1st and 2nd. :party2:

    Looks kinda like joey dude.

EDIT: Though, I have to give the guy props for wearing gear at the very least. He's an irresponsible buttwipe, but none of us can deny his ability.

I thought you weren't gonna rat me out!

Yeah I've seen his videos before when I was researching, ahem, police evasion techniques.

This video shows a guy with some cojones flipping off the :mod: while riding backwards: YouTube - 336 km/t outrun from police

This one made me laugh because the biker had the nerve to turn around and then haul: YouTube - how to lose the police part 1

While I like a spirited ride one thing I don't like about the Ghostrider is he's doing all that sh*t in crowded roads weaving dangerously around cars and buses even. I would be pissed if I was in a cage or on the bike and I see Ghostrider screaming by me.

Plus he's luring the cops and that IMO makes the situation even more dangerous because now you got a chase going on with all the traffic going around and what if the cop loses control?

If a cop loses control imo he watched to many episodes of COPS, he let his ego get in the way of public safety. Its one thing to go all out after somebody that has grabed a child off the street and is trying to make his getaway or anything like that. To futher endanger public safety to chase some kid on a bike is unprofessional and imo said Officer should be fired.

    Never heard of him....or, wait...

(BTW, the concept is cool...for the movies, but he is endangering many innocent bystanders with his antics. I don't care if he wants to kill himself,....he has that right, but not to drive reckless in a city and endanger the lives of others as such)

i don't think Ghostrider is dead. the Black Prince did die a while back though. i like the vid with his "500 hp" turbocharged Hayabusa. he's pulling wheelies at 150+mph. not something that i'd want to do, but it's still pretty cool to watch.

    Seen the vids.
    Guy can ride
    Guy is nuts.

    A few things.

    Many imitators have died.

he has been cought(took his bike, not through high speed chase) not sure how the legal system works but he got it back. here you would not be driving and probably doing time for reckless endagerment.
His rides are set up, the routes planned with spotters giving directions and traffic reports.
Guy use to be a stunt rider and racer.
    Guy is nuts.
    Still entertaining to watch.

more so i feel it brings the wrong croud to sport bikes...

The original ghostrider on a heavily modified and carbon fibered up gsxr 1000 who started it all is rumored to not ride anymore with death and prison at the top of reasons why. Select members of the swedish wheelie team have become the new ghostrider for the last 5 years or so and that is why you see different camera angles, riding styles and technique in the videos because it is being done by a 3 member team. Patrik Furstenhoff is the top candidate for the original ghost rider as he holds the world record fastest wheelie and was a member of the swedish wheelie team for many years. Also would account for his ghostriding days being taken over by other swt members since he is over 40 and now retired.

I find the riding insanely dangerous and something that should never be imitated but I still watch with my jaw dropped at the nerve and skill it would take to ride 180+mph thru freeway traffic while popping wheelies. There have been quite a few deaths of people trying to copy him and eating the pavement or backs of cars but I don't see how thats his fault. It was their choice and they sure as hell knew the risk.

Good vid of what happens when trying to look cool

The wrecks are always soooo much more satisfying. Something about watching Asshats crash just reaffirms my belief in natural selection.
