...yours weigh? and I don't mean read the magazine either, nor the owners manual. I took my 4th gen to the land fill scales, they need to be accurate due to well your paying for your garbage to be left behind right? So I went in with I what I normally have on concerning gear with a 1/2 tank of fuel went home subtracted what I weighed in gear, Wa-la, 505lbs.

So in a thread I read some one threw it out that a 6th gen weighs 469lbs. Some say their VFR is heavy, whats heavy? okay show me the proof what your bike weigh? I rode a 600RR, not sure what it weighs, but it's way lighter than mine. Rode a friends 6th gen, it has good balance, but it feels heavier than my 4th. Most average mid size bike should weigh around the 500+ mark I know my old Z1 weighed in at 515lbs and it was a bare bones bike. My skinny Kawi H2 weighed a whole whooping 420lbs. Which is what I wish for in the VFR. Any way just curious how many here actually know what their bike weighs? Let the weigh ins begin.

The weight of me and the bike depends on the size of my head when some fine a$$ chick just smiled at me telling me I'm not as old or as fat as I know am. :thumb:

No fishing, just curious as some stated the weight. Some folks have a different value too. So only way to nail it down is to weigh the bike, no guessing, no wondering if the magazines where right. and we all know the manufacture numbers are a skew as we don't ride em dry and put helium in the tires. ;)

This thread needs to die a slow, withering death from being completely ignored.

Ya think? LOL gots to give em time to go to the scales my friend. Maybe it's along the same lines as jumping on the scales at home, who really wants to know? The truth can be shattering.

:deadhorse: Everybody already knows the truth, it's not like RVFR is going to provide a smashing revelation by stirring the pot, If you really want to know how much your bike weighs, weigh it by itself, with a measured half tank of fuel, on a certified scale, then post the tag. Until then your data is just good as the manuals. Even tires can affect the outcome......of course that's not nearly as controversial, now is it? BTW..that's what I did.

actually, I weighed mine fully fueled not too long ago and I want to say it came in at 520 lbs. Sounds pretty porky to me, but it doesn't slow me down much...

Weighed mine today at the dump scale. 519lbs with the tank on reserve. I assume I had almost a gallon left the red light just came on. If I take approx. 8lbs off for the fuel weight I'm at 511lbs.

Sure doesn't feel that heavy rolling down the road. My buddies 929 feels much heavier and it's supposed to weigh almost seventy pounds less than mine???

See that ain't so hard. Yep, one of the great things about a VFR is how it carries its weight.

Yea you could subtract the diff, LOL you wouldn't get far, this is more a real world read, who runs a round on empty. good info, good job.

I weighed my 99 at the scale in Olympia and it registered 480 with a 1/4 tank, the scale worked in 20 lb increments, my friends 848 weighed 420 on the same scale...
