I envy you. My wife has been pressing me to get a cruiser so she can ride with me on longer trips so a DUC is out of the question. At least I have her talked into adding another bike to the stable instead of replacing one.

I have her interested in a classic Norton or Triumph.

It was a good weekend for riding. I rode to work on Saturday and took a nice ride Sunday out into Connecticut. Still loving the bike and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. I took one of the routes that I would take with the VFR and I felt the bumps more. The shoulders get a little more of a workout because the lean is a little more aggressive but the control in the turns was incredible. Fuel mileage is about the same. 41mpg so at about 85-90 miles my light comes on and I put 2 gallons in. The tank is 4.1 so I think the light comes on a little early but it seems to be common to all 1098s. Like coming on at a half tank..... Italians are pretty cautious I think. The motor is still breaking in and has about 400 miles now..... Getting smoother with every ride and the power is starting to show itself. I was surprised once or twice with the torque. Smooth power is good though, it just keeps coming on then its time to let off. Anyway I promised a couple of pics. I met up with a friend on his Suzuki 650 and his son with a Ninja. Funny that they are all yellow.

Sweet Bike!! I'm glad for you. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I walk into a bike shop.

I almost took the plunge when those bikes came out. My wife was all for me getting it, but one look at Scratch and listening to her start growling and I knew I couldn't do that to her. She was so sad. Don't let it get back to her that I looked at your bike longingly. I'm not sure it would go over well.
