Today I was searching on ebay for parts and I came across a 5th gen for sale that had a 6th gen tank. cosmeticly the bike looked great and he claimed to be able to carry more than a gallon more in fuel. sounds like a great mod to me... wish I had not purchased that 5th gen tank a few weeks ago. Has anyone tried this? I will try to find the listing and post some picks later!

Howdy Guys; I bought what was supposed to be a 5th gen. tank for my 5th gen bike, but the tank turned out to be a 6th gen. In my opinion, the 6th tank did not
really seem to fit the 5th gen frame very well. I believe the 6th tank could be made to fit, however it just didnt seem to conform very well to the air cleaner box, however I have a premo 6th tank that I would be happy to sell if you are up to the necessary mods. eddie

Only in a country where 1 Gallon = 1 Litre.

The Gen 5 has a 21 litre tank to the Gen 6s 22 litres.
