Japanese translation needed. No really.

This may sound like an odd request But I'm doing some graphics on my bike and I was wonerding if anyone knows the symbol or spelling of "interceptor" in japanese, preferably in a tribal sort of font. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I had a Japanese Exchange student years ago. He now lives in New York. I will get back to you, probably with some sort of photograph illustrations.

Here it is : the first line is the Japanese translation of "interceptor" (in Kanji Characters)
The second line is the "average" translitteration of the word interceptor (in katakana letters) ; it sounds something like "interceptor" but this way is only used to allow Japanese persons to write foreign words and spell them.

In abundance of caution here, my Japanese friend tells me that these on line translations are not really that good at translating English/Japanese. He acknowledged my request to him for the translation and promised me he would send it to me tonight from home. Stay tuned.

 

All I see is little boxes with letters in them.

 

It kind of makes you wonder if Honda uses the English lettered "Interceptor" mark on the 6th gens. They sell in Japan

 

You are really tempting your friends here at Vfrworld. Who's to say that one of us wouldn't put "私は愚か者である"? Which means "I'm a moron."
Or to keep it short and sweet: "陰茎" which is the word for "penis"
Make sure that whatever response you take as truth can be verified by a neutral party.
Don't take what I say as me thinking you are a moron or a penis, (I have nothing against you) but what are the chances of a great practical joke opportunity like this coming up any time soon?
Incidentally, this is the actual translation of "Honda": ホンダ
It looks familiar, doesn't it.
This is what is found on certain electrical part: これはホームにはほど遠くであって下さい場合壊れる
It says "This will break when you are far from home."
But seriously, this is the Japanese for "Interceptor": 障害物

 

i know that the translation of "shindingen" means "does not run" or
"start walking, buddy"

You're absolutely right on there, there are some pretty good jokesters around here, that's part of what makes this site so much fun. I have a chinese buddy that always has people asking him to write their name on their wrist and arms when he's out at a bar, you wouldn't believe how many people were named dumbass, white trash whore etc. It's hilarious. OK folks. Here is what I got. What is in red, I had cut and pasted to my message to my friend. The rest is his explanation of everything else. You may need to download "Japanese characters from Adobe 8 to read the attachment which otherwise comes as a series of dots.

The first or second kanji characters at the bottom of your email 障害物 should actually mean "interceptor" in a different case scenario.
In other words, for example, in the event that Anti-ballistic missile defend from another missile "B", the words should mean that "the Anti-ballistic missile intercept the attack from missile B". However, I believe that your friend does not want to mean this way in HIS interceptor motorbike unless he and his motorbike want to be attacked by counterpart.

To avoid misleading real Japanese people like me, or being laughed at, those kanji should not be used in this case.
Then he should chose the second one from the bottom.

I saw American young lady who had her tatoo on her back shoulder in Japanese Kanji writing that meant for "virgin", but she wanted to mean a girl (or a little girl). Pronounciation for both "virgin" (you know it means a girl who nev er had sex before) and "a girl" sounds very similar to each other and tatoo engraver misunderstood to mis-spell it. Poor girl....

Anyway, the word "interceptor" is hard one to translate in his prefered way.

This came to me as an Adobe PDF. When I tried to open it I got the same, but also got a prompt to download Japanese characters from Adobe. After I down loaded that, all was good. Hope this helps Stuke.
