Hello everyone! My name is Jim.
I am looking for a "mint" 86 VFR 750, close to stock with reletively low miles. If anyone has any information on one please let me know. I have been searching around but no luck.
    Thanks for all your help!
    Sincerely,
    Jim

That's very interesting... I just ran into an older guy yesterday that says he has an 86... he's the original owner and it has 80K miles on it. Do you consider that low miles for a 20-something year old bike? He paid $5200.00 for it in 86. He rides it a couple times a month with his Ducati friends... but he babies it. He's afraid to ride it hard in case something happens and he scratches his perfect plastics. I haven't seen it, but I gave him my contact info. in the hopes that we will get to ride together and I WILL get to see it. Are you drooling? I'm sorry... I'm pretty sure he's not interested in selling it, but if I hear from him, I can ask. If nothing else, I'll take pics and post 'em up so we can all enjoy it.

Great bike. It's good to see other people looking to own one of the earlier incarnations of our beloved VFR. May I ask why you're looking for one? Are you collecting or was it a bike you've always wanted and are just getting around to buying? Do you plan to actually ride it? I'll let you know if I come across one.

I was 16 when I first saw the bike. I bought one a few years later when I was in the Army but sold it when I got married. Well I dont have the bike or that wife anymore but I sure miss that bike. Its like the guy that buys a hot rod when he is older I guess? That VFR is my hot rod.
I have owned a few bikes since then but I can never find a VFR that was in good enough condition. I have been looking but......
I havent done any street riding for a few years. I bought the R6 and turned it into a trackbike and I love it! But I want to go for rides again on my days off and just to relax. An 86 VFR would be perfect!
The guy who is parting out the Mint VFR on Ebay is an idiot!

    Thats my favorite too.
I want one that has not been abused. If I can get as clean as possible the better. Thats just what I prefer. One that has been taken good care of. I know I may be asking alot but there has to be some out there.
