    What happening?

Like I said this morning, my task of the day was to remove my borring and ugly looking OEM fender and build a fender eliminator for the bike.

    1. So I found an old microwave next to the dumpster in my apartment, ran to me apartmen, got me a screwdriver ald removed the shell from it. (See Pic)
    2. Got to work, and removed the old fender from the bike. Pretty easy to do.
    3. Made the appropriate measurements for the rear light+lic.plate+inspection sticker. I started cutting the shell with a sheet metal scissors.
    4. After cutting the piece up, I used the grinding wheel and trim the edges real good(Got some assistance from my buddy SGT.Welch. He was kind of bored so he asked me if he could help, see pic).
    5. I drilled the holes for the light and to mount on the bike, then sanded and painted the piece.(see pic)
    6. installed the ligh with the license plate attached, removed my inspection sticker from the old fender, and went to the bike to install my masterpiece.
    7. There u have it folks, all done and looking good.

If you need measurement I can get them later cuz the thing spend my energy.

A new :vtr2: thanks to the microwave. Amazing but true! :jaw: :whoo: :clap2:

Yoda, that's what I call being creative. Good to see that you recycled that old microwave so it could live again!
    Nice job Yoda.

The only thing that comes into play is the clearance between the the fender eliminator and the rear tire. After u install it, sit on the bike, and jump hard on the bike, Or have an assistant to push down the bike while u sit on it.

    Gotta watch that clearance!

I did the exact same thing, luckily with a piece of lighter gauge sheet metal I bought at Home Depot, and on the fourth or fifth ride, smacked it with the rear tire on a decent sized bump in the roadway. I didn't know it until I got home, and saw it was "tweaked" a bit. I think the way you bent your up where the inspection sticker is will help, but mine is even a bit shorter than your (i.e. no inspection sticker space).

    Thanks for the pics!
