As a kind gesture (and enticement) for helping you....you might want to offer up some suds :drink: and/or grub :hungry: to the fine lad that assists you.

    Good luck boss! :vtr2:

Well I was hoping that that kind of sentiment would go without saying, but yes, compensation of food and beverage would be included in the deal...

where exactly are we talking in the Cleveland area? I live east of Cleveland and wouldn't mind helping you out but I am on night shift and have to be at work @ 6:30. Being I work Friday night to most of my day Saturday will be spent in the bed. If not to far out of the way I could probably meet you and have a look at the bike. Will have to take a raincheck on the suds and grub though.

I was hoping to get there early so I had told the guy about 10:30 AM. I may hold off on making him an offer until after lunch as was mentioned in my other thread on this bike, and then give him a down payment to hold the bike for me.

Location in Cleveland is W 100th ave and Dennison Ave, 44102

Unfortunantly that is at least 45 minutes away. Had I not been on night shift i would have no problem helping you out. Good luck

Dude - i wouldnt recommend a bike with a salvage title to a newbie rider. Youll be busy learning to ride and wont need the fixit items that will come up. Also consider a smaller bike to start out for a season to get your feet wet. Like KX500 Kawi, Suzuki SV650, Suzuki GS550. Great starter bikes that can keep you out of trouble.

    Good luck,
    MD

Got a dealership going to look the bike over for me this week. So I'll have the results when I go up there to "negotiate" on Saturday if the results of the look over are promising.

I am having them remove the fairings on each side and thoroughly inspect the frame for weld breaks, frame twists, and frame alignment, as well as do a test ride for me.

    Thanks.

I'd say keep looking. I got my 5th gen a couple years ago in the Cleveland area for $4500 with a bunch of goodies including a givi bags all around and a sargent seat and genmar risers. There are a bunch of VFR riders in the area too so just keep an eye out on craigslist.
