What do any of you gentlemen use as a throttle lock. Iv been pulling the choke on but that only really works at 35-40mph

I'm too cheap for a Throttlemeister, but I do use a throttle rocker. 10 bucks well spent.

Throttlemeister Throttle Lock, built by Marker Machine. Made right here in Wisconsin. Their shop is two miles away from where I live. I drove my bike over and they installed it for me. I like it,it's rock solid and easy to use.

Vista Cruise throttle lock. Won't break the bank at ~$20. I've had the same one for three bikes now. Just put it on the VFR yesterday.
    Vista Cruise
Look for them on Ebay. I had the universal model on a cruiser, but it wouldn't work on a VFR.

Installed Throttlmeister and took it back off. I do plan to use it on long trips but..........it looks like an erect black penis when installed. :eek:Could not tolerate the jokes.

I use the right wrist method. I turn the throttle to the position it needs to be at for the speed I am driving and then I hold it there. It works ok for the most part but sometimes I find that I twist it a bit extra, but dont notice till im doing 60-80km faster than I should be. Maybe the black erect penis style will prevent this from happening.

I use the NEP throttle lock. It is a 20 dollar plastic clamp the activates with a flip of the thumb. Cheap, but effective.

If the black versions of the Throttlemeister look like an erect black penis, those throttle lock gadgets look like a flaccid black penis that somebody took a hammer to.

I tried the Vista Cruise, and was never totally happy with it. I just put away a few bucks here and there and invested in the Throttlemeister (the stainless finish one, not the black weiner one). 100% worth the cost to me!

    Here Here!

After much research and deliberation, I went with the NEP also! BEST $20 I ever spent! I ride my VFR almost every day to work and on the freeway, doing 90 MPH (I mean 65 MPH) move my thumb a little bit to activate the clamp and voila!! Took a whopping 30 sec to install too! You won't be disappointed!

Plastic cheapo's work good as anything, spend your money on gas.. have tried them all over the years, have one on every bike I ever owned. You can disasembler them and put them on upside right, backwards, etc, whatever it takes to make em fit...No ,one does not cruise with it, that don't work too good in the mtns..:)... I only use it when i want let go for a few sec, change gloves, do up a zipper, take some 2 handed pics, etc, otherwise the wrist rocker thingy is what i use on my full day rides..

    good luck whatever...

+1 on the erect black penis!! Only I polished mine to cut down on the jokes, now it's just a polished , stainless phallus. But damn , is it nice on long runs, no more numb fingers.
