Yes Ma'am! Tell em' what you're riding... I like to call it, 'El Diablo'.

You've still got your Honda wings; so as far as I am concerned, you are family! So, please stick around - there are plenty of good times ahead for all of us!

    NOBR VFRs

    Hey guys,
    you know who you are.
I have created a social group here at the VFrWorld Site.
Called NOBR VFRs. I have invited all of you to join who live in the area.
This thread is too long and it has been around since July of last year.
So apparently We aren't going anywhere and I thought I would do this.
No dues or participation is required. JUst a place we can communicate and arrange rides. Just to stay in touch. I will ask Michael, site Admin, to retire this thread. so join if you want, you were invited. I consider you all my extended motorcycle freinds and family. I have enjoyed riding with all of you(Exception:DiVeFR,we haven't met yet, wish I could have made it to the boomtown deal, sounded like a good time) and hope to continue to do so.
Remember to keep the rubber side down.
I am looking forward to the next ride.

Sounds good to me, but think it would be a good idea to keep it open just incase others are passing through the area and want to get together or move to the area. .02

I'm sure the guy I sold my bike to is planning on joining also. He needs a few miles under his belt before he is on the interstate.

    Tiffany:

What kind of bike did you get?

    Dan:

Are you back in town yet?
I installed the pcIII and O2 eliminators with the staintune tune. Night and Day difference. No more surge. Smoother power. The bike pulls harder. I'm thinking about going to Layafette Honda to have them do a custom tune. I also installed a 139 db air horn in place of the stock horn. It's a big attention getter for those folks trying to occupy the same space as me at the same time.

I heard it! - It sounds like a fighter-jet sitting on the tarmac waiting for the go-ahead. Badazzzz! That bike has attitude!

Ok; I don't know about you all, but I'm not receiving message notifications whenever anyone posts in the 'NOLA/BR' Social Group?

Sure hope that I will be able to ride this weekend? We have another baseball game scheduled for this Saturday morning; and that ride that we took last weekend has me pumped up! I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.

Wish that I could make the Birmingham trip on the 18th, Joe, cuz I really want to take a multi-day weekend trip one of these weekends. Maybe this fall we can all put something in the works for a Deal's Gap run??? - September/October

Eh Dan! When are you heading back to the U.S?

Where's Matt? Mdooner? Where are you, man?

    where Am I?

    JB,

Still out here in Singapore. Rig was puchased by Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc.
They have just brought one person on board today. They are sending out an HR person to talk with us. It is their intention to retain as much of the original crew as possible. We will have to wait and see what they offer. Salary, benefits and the like.
At this point in time what I do know is that my contract with Larsen is up on June 28th. I(we) will depart the rig on June 29th flying home on the 1st. Yee HAAA! Sounds like a road trip for JB and I, Hooters(biloxi)? or somewhere. anywhere.
I do have a vacation cruise to Alaska planned for the 4th - 7th with my bride.

Also I don't think the social group notifies you of posts. it is intended to be a place on the site that you check with on your own. To be "social" requires some effort on your part. What? you don't check on it everytime you visit the world?. I thought the same thing as well, but figured out that it didn't work that way. It was a little disappointing, I know.

    Joe,
I saw you were trying to contact that dude about an exhaust system. how did that come out. I have been trying to get a hold of this guy Tstroth that has a Yellow 2000 VFR800 for sale in Chattanooga. He won't respond. has one for sale on this site for $4600 which I would buy. but nothing so far. Why advertise something for sale if you don't want to sell it?
    See you all soon.

    Hi Dan.

The exhaust - yeah it was a good deal. The guy started asking for offers. Did not like the offer he got so he posted 300 bucks plus shipping. I PM'd him, as did two others. Next thing - the guy makes an auction out of it. All three people interested said they were backing out. A "bargained for exchange" it turnded out NOT to be. Someone else will sell their bike - parting the add-ons out first. Never rush for the GREAT DEAL. There will almost always be another one.... Anyway, the semi-gutted cans sound pretty damn good! Let me know when you guys ride to the coast. I'll try to take off too.

Glad to hear we have some new VFR riders on board!

I'm still around, I've just been really busy lately (whats new?). My bike has a flat rear tire I need to deal with. The rubber valve stem split. One of my friends has a trailer hitch tire changing setup so I just need to borrow it and swap out the valve stem for a new one.

The same friend and I have been talking about doing a weekend riding/camping trip. Anyone else up for something like that?
