    Well f@@k that it says on a sticker on my vfr 2008 vtec that honda recomend castrol power 1 racing 10 30, so I after going everywhere today looking for the oil I found it 6 miles away in a halfords store.... £32

    came home drained the oil and changed the filter went to get my book to see how many Lts to put back in and id says in my book use 10 40 oil. Would it be save to use the 10 30 or do I need to now get a lift to halfords tomorrow and see if they have the 10 40?

    PLEASE HELP :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    The 10W 30 will be just fine but you really should know that Shell Rotella T is the best oil to use in a motorcycle. Just kidding, Shell Rotella is my preferred oil and you probably already know that asking a motorcycle rider what is the best oil to use in their bike is like asking a woman what is the best brand shampoo :biggrin:

    In Canada Honda changed the spec to 10w30. I tried that for a year was ok I think. I recently changed to 10w40 semi synth and am very happy. I really don't think it'll matter all that much. If your running in hot temps all the time 10w40 will be better. 10w30 is good if you like to run in cool temps but they both crossover nicely.
