Hi everyone. Found your forum by chance whilst looking for VFR pictures on Google. Looks like a good site, so I thought I would join.

I live in Sydney Australia and whilst I lusted after a VFR for some 10 years, I have only enjoyed owning one for 12 months. My bike is a stock standard 2002 V-tec. I would love to put an aftermarket exhaust on (e.g. a staintune) and maybe polish the wheel edges, but otherwise, love it as it is.

My brother is actually moving to Boston in 6 weeks, so hopefully I will get over to the states in the next year or two and see what riding is like in your part of the world. He has a Vespa GTS250 which he is shipping across, but I think I would want to rent something more like a real bike (like a VFR  )

Welcome to the site. You know I was wondering the other day if I could rent something like a VFR if we ever do get a gathering together like in the center of the country or something. I live in Cali so it would take too long to ride from here if there was a gathering anywhere past the rockies. I know you can rent harleys just about everywhere, but I dont really want to ride one. A friend was telling me yesterday he rented one and it went back lighter than went he rented it because the fllorboards scraped every time he turned.

Welcome Tones, glad to have you aboard the site you will find as you have said that this is one great site, no need to surf any others because this is the place to be if you are a VFR fanatic. Hope to chat soon. I'm up in the Gold Coast Hinterland:)

    Thanks for the welcome guys.

I found one place that rents bikes other than Harleys, including ST1100's and so on (no VFR though). www.motorcyclerental.com was the site. Locations appear to be scattered across the continent, so not sure if the full variety of bikes are on offer at all locations.

G'day mate, I am slowly following you around the world  Maybe we should organise a ride one of these days.
