I finally opted to buy the cheapest hard bags on the market for my 6gen, not sure if I would like the fit or finish of the Kappa Bags. One thing for sure, living up in Canada, Honda line bags are ridiculously expensive, buying direct, or shipping from USA or England. After recently doing a low speed slide out, I decided that the cheap, flat black Kappa bags would be okay for my needs. I knew I would cry everytime, if I had color matched bag, and was scratched, or worse, taking another spill on the bike.
The installation of the bags took a little bit of patience (what mod doesn't). The instructions were horrible. It was a double side piece of paper, with three black/white pictures. It was up to me to figure out which bolt, washer, nut went where. The rear license plate bracket did not line up as shown in the instructions, but luckily by rotating the bracket 180deg, it was close enough to make it all fit. I was surprised the bracket bolts up to the bottom of the passenger foot peg, instead of the top. The reason way Kappa did this is because their trunk bracket uses the top hole, and shares the same exhaust bolt.
After the installation, the bags looked good IMHO. The bags are only 33L, so it is a bit too small to fit a full face helmet. The locking mechanism and the removal of the bags work flawlessly. It did take some getting used to, knowing that your bike is now wider than the handle bars. Also getting on/off the bike, I now have to watch not to kick the bags. For sure I would have already marked up a color matched bag if I went that route.
On the road, I don't notice too much wind buffering. There is something there, enough to slow down my acceleration, but the ride didn't change enough to comment.
After Thoughts: I love the convenience of the bags. I just leave them on all the time now. No more backpacking it.
For the price, I think they do the trick very well.

I.ve had a Kappa top box for 9yrs now, never had a problem with it. Same mounting as GIVI. In fact I heard that they are the same but branded differently.

The Kappa K33N bags were $450, and mounting brackets were $195 (Canadian dollars). This was my negotiated sale price.
