When you are putting her back together maybe consider some frame and bar end sliders to slap on.
Won't protect in all cases, but fall overs often fair better with these farkles.

B&G or is it R&G from England makes some for the viffer.

Unfortunately buttonhook, they do require frame cutting, and it is tricky cuz of the angle of the frame.
However, they do use the frame bar, as opposed to mounting them on the radiator or other spots which can cause more damage in the long run if the bike should "tip."

I like mine, and for me anyway, it provides some protection if the unfortunate low speed accident should happen. The frame pieces are so friggin expensive:frown:

my sidestand folded on me just the other day. About fell over on the wife's ride. I was able to hold it up and get it set back up w/o damage, other than to my wrist & my knee, and the wife busted her knee on her Can-Am on the way over to assist. No $$ out, just pain & suffering.

We had a really bad storm and it blew forward alittle just enough to fold the kickstand and hit my wifes new 250 ninja which was parked next to it...ninja unhurt...honda -$1700. The mirror hit the ninjas front break caliper on the way down.

Anyone else notice that the VFR kickstand doesnt have enough rake to lean it over more? I feel that its a little too upright, when i park on slight-slight slopes, it feels like its going to fall over the other way. When i hop on the bike, it feels like its gonna fall to the right when the kickstand hits the floor on the left when i get on. Either way i could sure use maybe about another 5 degrees or so of left side leaning.

Maybe adding some preload on the rear springs will allow it to sit slightly higher unloaded so thus adding some more lean when i use the kickstand.

well...it fell over again......this time it was on the center stand. we have had SO much rain here this year that the ground is really really really soft. When it fell over this time it was under my shed. and when it fell over it hit the side of the shed and bent the meter bracket.:frown: but the bad part was when I was trying to bend the bracket back my tool slipped and I tore the upper fairing . So now I have to replace the meter bracket and the upper fairing again. cost >$500

BTW I will have several slightly damaged R/W/B upper fairing for sale real soon. they would make a great track set

Dude, that sucks. Sorry to hear about that, esp. after you just went thru this a few months ago, too.

Gotta wonder what will happen to your ins. rate if you submit another claim. IMO you ought to ask your agent about it before you hit them up for another check.
