place it atop of your head.keep your back nice and straight..and walk from one side of the room to the other . lol just kidding.. you would be best to bring it to a honda dealer. or someone who can balance the rear rim. (if your ride is a single sided model.)

Sometimes you do not have to balance it. The rim may have a mercury balancing tub inside.
Then there is static balancing and dynamic balancing.
Static balancing is like bubble balancing. OR you can put the wheel on an axle in a truing stand and put lead weights on the wheel until anyplace you stop the wheel it will stay put. Otherwise the heavy part will always go to the bottom.
Then there is dynamic balancing on a machine inside a cage with a computer to tell you where and how much weight to add..

When i was growing up no one balanced motorcycle wheels.
But now motorcycles go over 80 MPH so it is much more important.

1st... You want to take the wheel to a Ducati dealer(they may have a adapter for the singlesided swing arm. If you're lucky your Honda dealer will be able to balance it for you.... (I don't know if a Duc-wheel is the same, I'm pretty sure Duc's have bigger axle.... I was just kidding... but you never know).... But what I've done, is ordered one from HF(HarberFreight). About 50-60 bucks , and $15 for the rear wheel adapter.... Good investment.... I let them mount and balance my front wheel a few weeks ago, then took it home and balanced it on mine. They were off by ¼oz. and the weight was about a inch½ from the best spot to put it..... Their machine may be higher tech, but the time I take to make mine come out right is never going to happen in a shop.... My next step is to buy a HF tire changer with MC adapter, and a after market HP mod to give it a soft touch....

Depending on where you live you may, or may not be able to find a dealer who is equiped to balance a VFR r-wheel..... Another option would be, to get the adapter and let the shop use yours...

You're sort of right, because I left out a part. 1st is the tyre changer/2nd is the mc adapter/ 3rd is the vfr rear wheel adapter
