I made it home at around 11 this am. Would have come home last night but it was snowing here. Yes, you read that right...SNOWING!!!!!!!!!! So I stayed at Toe's place in Sac Town last night and shivered my way home this am. 40s mostly, but 37 at the coldest.

One pic of me riding. I'll load my pics later.

It was, turned-to-steel, in the great Slabmetic fields... when he traveled for a time, for the fun of the VFR kind.

1980 miles. I was gonna ride around a bit to top 2K, but my ass was sooooooo FROZE I fell off in my driveway and had to be rescued by a Saint Bernard with a cask of whiskey around his neck(not really).

My week started last Monday. I rolled through Sacrapimento and tried to have lunch with Toxic but he was too busy(work or some shit like that). So I rolled right on down to Reg's in Atascadero cuz I knew he would have some great beer on tap. But NOOOO! He claims his son drank all the good stuff, but his son is only like 18 so we know that is not possible. We went out to dinner with Reg and the beautiful Mrs Reg and the slightly less beautiful Sloav8tor(Dan).
Tues morning Reg(pronounced like 'beg') and I rode the Central Coast twisites. We stopped by Never Land Ranch, but no one was home(so we peed on the tree at the gate and moved on). From there we went down to Santa Barbara and had lunch with the esteemed Cruster. Reg went home and I went to the snooty part of SB to see a friend of mine from high school. He bailed on me too( again 'work' was the excuse {I'll have to look this 'work' thing up on wikipedia when I am done with this post}). So I got a hotel and called Dan again. Dan and Rich(XXfirefighter) came down and took me to the Elephant Bar( they didn't even have elephant on the menu so I have no idea what all that was about). Rich has an awesome new car by the way, it sounds almost as cool as a VFR.
Wed I cruised on dahn to Oceanside. I had lunch with a lovely lady I know from another moto forum(they have girls on other moto forums can you believe it?!). I was supposed to hang with another friend from college, but he rescheduled for Thurs. I called Long and asked if I could show up early and he said that would be super.

He treated me to dinner with his family(his kids are great kids). Filet mingon, crab, garlic bread, wine. It was his birthday and I barged right in. Long is such a great guy, he acted like he was happy to have me.
Thursday I had brunch with my buddy from college in Encinitas. Then I came back to Long's and sat around drinking beer until folks started showing up. Then Long took a bunch of us out to Viet Namese for dinner. The eel wrapped dog was superb.
Friday Reg(beg), Toe, Cundalingus, Toxic, Long and I toured Sandy Eggo.

We saw a 75 year old war memorial that the ACLU is trying to have torn down.
Reg was so disturbed by the controversy that he flopped down in the grass and threw a tantrum.
Saturday a few more folks showed up. A few folks left. We saddled up and rode.
There was much rejoicing later that night. Almost too much.
Sunday we said goodbye to Long. We cleaned up a bit first. Long chased us down the street yelling and waving his arms(not sure what that was about). So we got out of there pretty quick. In Long Beach we lost Reg(beg) and Nardy(Cebu) and found Toe and Cundalingus(even though we didn't know they were missing). It was chilly along the beach but as we rolled over the Grapevine it got really FRICKING COLD! It warmed up a bit in the Valley but it was not the most comfortable traveling weather. We stopped outside of Sacramento to fuel up, so I called my wife to let her know I was only a few hours from home. She tells me it is snowing :smow: in Suzyland. Ahhh fall in the mountains. So I followed Toe to his place and stayed there.
This morning I once again loaded up the faithful steed and headed out. It was 43 degrees.
Before I left, I thought I would help the neighbor's sheep through the fence, but it would have none of it.
It warmed up to about 58 in Oroville, but then dropped to 35 over the pass into Suzyland. THIRTY-FUCKING-FIVE.
But it stayed dry and I did not see any snow or ice.
Home again safe and sound. I stripped off my cold leathers, shakily texted a few folks to let them know I made it, turned up the space heater in the bathroom and used up all of the hot water in the shower trying to thaw out. Beer and pizza were a welcome meal before the fingers were loose enough to type.

    1980 miles, bichez.

    Thanks, Long. I needed that.

Marrib came up with a sure fire way to make sure Mr Den did not get lost on his way back to Az.

I guess i am the last to make it home...Just walked through the door.I arrived in Pacifica about 7:00 PM last night,to a big fat ribeye being pulled off the grill.I was so freaking tired, hungry and cold!!! I ate and then feel asleep sitting up!! Long, you are the man!!! I thoroughly enjoyed myself(possibly a bit too much). Reg and i made it our mission to fuck that keg up,and we did!! It was a pleasure to see those that i already know again, and equally enjoyable meeting the one's i didn't.What a fantastic group of people.Thankyou all, especially you five dollar foot Long.Next one should be hosted by NorCal Posse!!!

Oh yeah. Before everyone else showed up, Long and I went to Walmart to pick up air freshener for Reg's (rhymes with "beg") stinky butt. As we were walking to the door we see a RWB VFR roll up. I say, "Look, a VFR." Then I say, "Look, it's Toe!" He was coming to get a battery for one of the other guys(won't say which one) that rolled down with him. They made it a couple blocks from Long's and the battery just died at a light. So we got the battery and rescued the stranded VFRer and all was right with the world.
By the way, Coors Light cleans battery acid off of plastic. Another reason I am not a fan of Coors Light.

Apparently, the ACLU does not like crosses. Maybe their mother was trampled by a herd of crosses when she was pregnant with them?
