Ya know, in that photo it don't look half bad, other than it also looks huge..Still think it would look better in a truer red, that and I hope they have a white one at the show, that color is so boring..

he says.... " hell yeah...i just saved this here whale...Shamu..."

I am also impressed with the accessories. I haven't seen a list, but I believe I see heated grips and cruise control in the pictures. I like the looks of the bike, this might be my next sport tourer.

My local dealer is a big dealer, I believe they are called class five with five being the largest type. The current VFR is not selling well there, I think their most recent sale was my purchase of an '08 model in November '08. At that time, they also had an '07 that sat there until a month ago when they sent it to another dealer. The black '09's just sit there, they don't sell either. Ditto for the ST 1300.

Honda had to do something different! I have an '08 VFR which I love, I also have an '08 FJR which I also love. I think this new 1200 VFR could replace both of them.

Seems like they are going after the K class of bikes.

I was really looking for a liter V4, that would have been awesome ... or the V4 800 that they run in MotoGP.

Im still going to have to check this bike out though.

I think if you don't want a "sport touring" bike than don't buy this "new" sport touring bike, makes sense, buy a 1000RR instead.
Unlike some of the other models in the class it still looks good with out the luggage. It's either a larger muscular street bike or a great highway touring bike. The extra 50lbs is nothing.

If you have a 6th gen or a 5th etc... and love it than your doing great

They made what everybody has been asking for. Remember it's not a "sport Bike" but sure looks sporty.

I like it.....I have a 2007 800F and love it but this really pushes my buttons as a sport tourer. Does look heavy though, I wonder when we'll see them in Australia?

I agree to a point. The problem being that both the 5th and 6th gen bikes are already a bit porky for todays standards so that extra 50lbs is really more like 75-100lbs.

Although I have stated that I do like the "new" VFR, from what I have seen and read so far, I have to say it seems like a more suitable replacment for the the ST than a vfr.

I have heard rumours (which we are all used to) that there may be an 800 vfr) who knows?

One thing to remember here is that the VFR has always been the so called "flagship" bike for Honda so it's not a surprise that every bit of possible technology weather we think it's good or not is going to be bolted onto this model.
