In the way of backstory, I had a surgery that went bad, real bad, 18-months-inna-coma bad... And the doctors said I'd never walk again, let alone ride - That if I worked really hard, I'd be able to sit up in a wheelchair at the nursing home... That was 13 months ago and I'm walking (albeit with the cane you'll notice in my nifty holder there on the back ) and better yet, riding to boot ;)

So NOT A WHEELCHAIR is my little victory and finger in the eye of the "experts" ;)

    Is that you, Dr. House?

Here's to hoping you can trashcan the cane soon, also!

Good for you. I recently wrecked and reduced my left ankle to dust.

It's been 2 months now, no weight bearing for another month, then we begin the process of finding out if I'll be able to get back to normal or not.

Will I need a cane? Perhaps. Ankle fusion? perhaps. We'll see.

Here's a big  for you for not letting "the man" hold you down.

W00T and MEGA grats to pokin the eye out of the experts. I found that if you let your mind TELL your body what it's gonna do then it works out better in the long run.
Oh and Canuck, "normal" is ALWAYS a relative term.... ;)

True that, Back to Normal would be a first visit for me... LOL! Reminds me of the exchange "But Doc, will I be able to play the piano?" "I don't see why not..." "Cool, I never could before..."

Congrats on the miracle. My x father in law was told the same thing after a serious scuba accident in the Keys, he walked 6 monthes after he got released from ICU, not perfect but no problem. He wasn't gonna let his retirement start in a wheelchair.

Great plate and nice bike. Glad you are up and about and able to enjoy the bike again. Good onya for sticking it up the medico's. Beats me how they call their premises a "practice", maybe one day they will stop practicing and get it right:smile:
