    Okay, I'm cheap.
Now that I've got that out of the way. I'm looking for some assistance with gutting my 02. I don't have a sawzall or a welder but I want a full gut. Is there anyone with those items and some free time who could help me with gutting my exhaust in New England? I'll bring the beer. Local places are looking for $60 and up to do the job. Maybe I should just suck it up?

FYI....You can also use a hacksaw with a fine tooth blade but it will obviously take longer and require some elbow grease. As far as the welding goes you are probably better off taking it to a local muffler shop since the metal is very thin and can easily be burned through if not done correctly. The welding by itself shouldn't be more than $30 or $40 and I think it's worth it to make sure it gets done right.

I Just got my bike back on the road. (custom Paint job)
The first thing i heard differant was the gutted cat sounded somewhat like hollow can while at idle and at some acceleration pionts sounds real bad.
if you get the chance and have the know how make the Y-pipe. i am going to see if i can get my friend to open the cat back up and make a y-in thier.
If you dont mind the sound change (it is not better) the hollow can sound, go for it.
