fuel filter 3rd gen

    does anyone know if I can use a fram automotive fuel filter for my 91 vfr?

    I can't see why not provided it fits the mount..

    any ideas?

    not sure if there is a difference in fuel filters....I do know that I used a "car" fuel filter on my suzuki gs700e. it got me down the road but the heat from the engine (i guess) caused it to crack in half luckily I didn't have a fire...

    would be careful, I tried this move and the plastic was of a softer variety and the filter inlet failed on me the day before a track day (lovely) leaking fuel all over the place. Dont skimp, its a $23 part at the dealer.

    Well if I use one that made out of metal it should be no problem...

    I am leery about plastic anyway...

    Don't be, the Honda OEM one is fine.

    18-23 bucks and it will fit correctly and no worries.
