Anyone interested in doing the F2 wheel conversion to their 86-87 VFR?
There is a front and rear F2 wheel available. They are red, $100 each plus shipping, includes rotors and sprocket hub. Contact Todd at TTRMotorsports@msn.com for more details.

Are there tires included and would I need to get forks too or will these work on the Interceptor with new spacers and such? Also about how much for both wheels and shipping to Niagara Falls, NY (14304).

I did the conversion on an 86 VFR and I had to get the entire front end of an F2 (forks, fender, brakes and triple tree) also the steering stem on the triple tree had to be lengthened (a welding shop did this for me for a few bucks). At the back end you will need the brake and brake caliper carrier and a couple of new spacers. I'm not sure how it would work on your bike. The wheels have tires, but they are old and no good and most likely will be removed prior to shipping to reduce cost. E-mail Todd at TTRmotorsports@msn.com for more info. I know the F2 front end is not available, but he has the rear end pieces. Thanks.

What's so good about the CBR front end that would make you want to convert it?

Larger diameter tubes the the first gen Interceptors and also more of a variety for aftermarket goodies.

    F2 conversion

Here's the package: F2 front forks, upper and lower steering clamps, VFR750 clip-ons, late model (oval) brake master cylinder and clutch master cylinder, front calipers and lines, front wheel with tire and rotors, front fender, rear wheel with tire and rotor, rear brake caliper with reaction arm and bracket. I have a whole box of axle spacers and will send the correct one if I can sort it out. Benefits are better stability with larger diameter forks (41mm vs 37mm), much better tire selection in the 17" sizes, and the rear tire is up from a 140 to a 160.

    more info mods: http://www.hondavfr.org/faqs.html

as for me, i'm hoping to at least get an f1 front wheel, which i think matches perfectly with stock (same rotors, or correct me if i'm wrong), except it's a 17" rim. for more tire options. then an F2 rear, one day. . . then just upgrade the springs and supsension . . .

After reading this thread the other day I went on ebay & search cbr600f2 there is a pile of parts this week for reasonable prices. forks, rims, fenders, masters bars & controls. I wasn't actually keeping a running tab but off thecuff I'd say everything you would need to do the conversion could be had for $300-$400.
