I live in Lake View (Hamburg area) and ride with Yellow Banana Slug and up for a ride all most any time. LOL I grew up in Lancaster and am in town several times a week for work. The ride to Renovo PA area is a good time ...Heads up if you join that ride this Sunday....Watch out for Squids  from that website listed.

I am in the Watertown area, and just purchased a 08 - it should be here in a few days. I'd like to link up with you folks once I get her in the garage...

Thus far fantastic. I'm skeeved by the R/R issue a bit but haven't seen any signs of trouble (I have a meter in my bag all the time, a pc fan hooked up to the heat sinks, and soon will ride with a spare... overkill?).

I'm not gonna refute that. The wheat's been separate from the chaff in recent seasons, but careful selection of who's going where and doing what is still necessary. As long as the group doesn't get out of hand (defined as 30 people showing up, 75% without sufficient gear) I'll check things out from any forum. The least squidly the better.

But when it's sketchy upon arrival I never have a second thought about bailing and riding solo or with a select few instead ("oh the wife called, I gotta jet home....."; "I'm gonna pass and go alone, just don't like the vibe here"; or "see ya'll later"; etc.) From experience, having a whole day ruined and the PTSD to boot by the fact that someone bit it really bad is not my cup of tea and I'll avoid it if at all possible.

Hoping for a ride this weekend Sat or sun. 12/13 about 4pm. Not sure of exact plans this weekend but will go on one of the day probaly sunday after 4pm. (not set in stone i work till 3) weather it is a couple hours or just a small meet and greet.

Also dealer called and said my hard saddle bags are in. So I will try to install them during the week I heard it takes about 3 hrs so i gues it will take me 2-3 days. If i get it done and all works out i hope to ride......

Way it is working out will be able to ride around 4pm only on saturday the 12th. Whether it would be a couple of hours, or just to meet and get to know you.

Longest to date ride was 150 miles. Would like to increase that if possible.

recap leave around 4pm on saturday and home before 10pm. (what I got to work with)

Yes it is about time to awake from the slumber! I have to do some basic work before getting out this spring such as air filter, oil and filter, a quick chain adjust, tire pressures, and.....figure out where in the world I stowed the GPS last fall I can't find it anywhere.

How was the Kinzua ride? I didn't see the post until too late but I love the Kinzua ride. I usually go down 62 to Warren, then stop at the KFC in Warren, then on to the dam, then hang a left on 321 and ride up through Allegany for the way back home.

Did anyone have a '07 RWB parked on Main St in Hamburg, NY today April 2, 2010? I was riding by and saw someone giving me the wave and behold, it was another '07 RWB! It was parked in front of the dentist's office I think it was.

Hey Richie. Thanks for the heads up on the ride. How was the ride? My dad was having car problems so I stopped by his house in the morning to help him out then took my CRF230L to Hamburg Honda to see if they would be able to sell it for me. It was a nice day out there! It just dropped about 25 degrees here in the span of about 5 minutes. There's a guy at Hamburg Honda that has a nice '07 RWB too. Now that Ray Laks closed I think they're the only Honda dealer in this immediate area.

Had a good time and Yea the weather did screw things up a bit. Another site I visit said his girlfriend had a rabbit jump in front of her and when she hit the bunny she was ejected off bike. So I think mother nature is mad at bikers. He said incident happened about 6 pm. Just my 2 cents...

But all in all had a great time put about 350 miles on did not go to dam but went further down pa. and then back home. There is also a honda dealer in Lockport but that is a ride for you I am in the middle of them both.

Want to? Yes. Can I? No.... damnit. Riding is a rough proposition running on 4 hours per day of sleep with a 2.5 week old. Next season. Next season indeed... I hope.

    Have fun.
