    Hi all, I had a great ride this weekend, around one of the best bike roads in the state if not the country. I got into the zone and had a blast, but was really surprised at the hammering I gave the rear tyre. Would be interested in feedback from you all to find out if I have overdone it on the tyre... And I know that I am not the the very edge yet... My rear tyre

    That tire is fine, it's just getting "scuffed in".
    Chances are that you will wear out the center long before you kill the sides.
