I forgot Sunday was Easter. As far as the April 10th part; as Dave Chappelle said while imitating Rick James . . ."it's a celebration . . ." This one is for us, we will have some addition events to benefit people in the community. As a matter of fact, I’m working on me teaching a self defense program. Also, Soon I will be making a rear turn signal modification (so my rear turn signals are constantlly on) and wanted to know if someone else has done a write up on that? If not, I'll do it and post pics :)

I just heard about these tires. Nice write up, eurojuice! That and other reviews I've read have sealed it for me. My problem is I'm a new rider and I wouldn't know a good tire if it kicked me square in the goodies!

One thing I do is ride rain or shine so wet traction is a must.

I received mine from compacc, just haven't had the time to put them on. Or to ride. I think I will change them myself and take them to Ram Cycles to have them statically balanced.

I am the most inept guy on the forum...is it difficult to change a tire? I understand balancing is an issue but can I save $'s doing the change? I think just by asking these questions, I may as well have someone do it...ha!

It's really not that hard for an average adult male muscle wise. I cheat, I work at a shop and have power tools to do the work for me, but it ain't that hard to do with a set of spoons and a bead breaker for harry home owner. I'd show you but you're a little ways off. You basically just break the bead and pry the tire over the rim. Then walk the tire off the rim as you go around. Do it once for each sidewall (read:side of the tire) and then reverse order to put back on. Inflate with air or whatever gas you have layin around (non flammable hopefully) and balance.

Maybe I'm cheap but I can't believe how much some shops charge for tire changes.

2 years ago I took them the front wheel only and I was charged $95 plus taxes. (which in my province amounted 15%) So....$109.25 was the grand total.

....AND I bought the tire from them!!!

Yep, I was right, frackin rip off. That would pay for about half the tools to do the job properly at your house, depending on what quality of tools you got that is.

I think I'm going to change the tires on my own. Do you suggest a new valve stem ? My bkie has 21k miles on it. Also thinking about just getting some Dynabeads to ut in it. I'm hearing great things about the Dynabeads.

Whenever you put new tires on you should pop for the extra ten bucks to put new valve stems in, just makes sense to take care of it while you're in there rather than halfway through your new tires life when they start lookin dryrotten. Dynabeads work great until you start creeping up on about 90 MPH, they give a pretty mean shake @ about 105 ish.....and above......... Around town (or if you don't plan on exceeding the speed limit) they work great!

Well...I threw up the white flag!

I came close to ordering a set of Angels but store didn't have them in stock and I wasn't prepared to wait. I then started to rethink things. I bought this 1998 VFR last summer...June/July and the front tire (an Avon Azaro AV45) was brand new. I read it was a good tire so I'll keep it.

I ended up just buying a Bridgestone BT-021 for the rear. I had an 020 on it.

My comment about the white flag was in context with all those meaningful folks who put up tire reviews/opinions. My head was spinning. This will be my 3rd riding season and up here that's about 6 months per season, give or take. I just wonder when I'll be able to confidently throw out terms like "turn in" and "they heated up fast" because right now I'm a huge pussy I guess. I just "ride my ride" as they say. My pals are always way ahead of me and as a result have to wait for me to catch up..ha!

I'm still interested at how the Angels hold up for you guys.

I am impressed and somewhat envious of you folks who experiment with tires and tire pressure. At the rate I'm going I don't know if I'll ever know my machine the way others do.
