Just thought I'd join in. Started with a VF500 FII in 2003 and got my VFR750 in '05. Threw it down the track in '06 just before moving to Northern Ireland. It rains constantly there so I just stored it for 3 years.

Got back to England last summer and am now rebuilding the bike. Got a modified 929 shock (Race Tech Gold valving, extended clevis etc) from Jamie Daugherty in the US and am now thinking about the forks while I put the panels back together. Got a menagerie of Ebay panels so it'll be multi-coloured until I get it sprayed.

    That's all for now.

Welcome, Stew! When you get a chance, post some pictures, even of work in progress.

Northern Ireland makes England feel like California.

We have two rabbits and we arrived in NI in '06 in the fall. In Apr/May '07 they shed their winter coats and then grew winter coats again. In '08 and '09 they didn't shed at all until we got back to England in June. They spend about 2 months laying around sweating until it cooled off. This year they're shedding again.

If your animals never shed their winter coats, the climate is crap. That's my simple Albertan farm boy view on life. I love skiing and sledding but I like riding too so I need seasons.

Anyway, 9 hrs laying a patio today so no bike work. Tomorrow afternoon is set aside for just that purpose however. My better half can use the new patio to BBQ and I'll play with bike panels.
