Over the years, I've owned many bikes that I've truly loved including Valkyries, KLR 650's and now I have my second VFR. The first was a yellow 2000 and this one is a 2007, Candy Red with about 13K, that I bought about a month ago. I'm looking forward to contributing and learning. Thanks.

You are not alone in the Valley. There are a few members around there, so keep your eyes open.

Welcome, George. The candy red 2007 is a great bike! I have about 21,000 on mine after a couple of seasons of riding it (got it very late in 2007), and I am planning on a couple of multiday tours this summer. How do you like your spyder? There is guy around here who has one. He seems to be pretty cautious with it, especially on the curves. Does it feel less stable than you expected or maybe it is just the way this guy rides?

Thank you all for the welcome, I will make myself at home.
The Spyder is a great bike, just different. It can't be compared to two wheels as it rides more like a quad. On the curves, I can stay ahead of most bikes except sportsbikes and VFRs, of course, so I would say that your friend hasn't tested his or the Spyder's limits. The beauty is that you can't overcook it as the "nanny" cuts in and prevents excessive wheel lift, drifting or roll overs.
    Thanks again,
    George
