Anyone else have this issue on their 6th Gen? I took off the left side fairing. Now I'm trying to get it put back on, but the screws just slide in and out. They won't screw in. They just slide in and fall back out. They are going in the hole correctly, but they aren't screwing in at all. Just sliding in and out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

there are two sizes of screws, length and diameter, i'm just offering that up, as you might not be reaching the well nut threads. either that, or your well nuts done blowed up.

If you still have an issue, maybe take a quick pic and post what you have. Might help to ID the issue.

Everything must be lined up with care. If you handle them too rough, you can pop the grommets that hold the threaded portion out of their holders.
Is the bike new, or new to you?

I just picked up an 06 vfr800 and noticed that one of the allen screws was sitting cockeyed against the fairing and just pulled right out. The previous owner must have lost somehow the rubber grommet with the nut inside of it. I picked up a new one from my local honda shop for less than 5 bucks.

edit: or if you're in a rural area not near a shop It seems like you're looking for part #12 http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/2006-honda-motorcycle-vfr800-interceptor/o/m2790

Do all 6g interceptors have the 5mm allen bolts?

all 6th gen's have the same bolts for the fairings. all the bolts for the front of the fairings attach via a wellnut. the two rear-most bolts on the left fairing and on rear-most bolt on the right fairing screw into metal mounting brackets.
