Hey everyone. I too just bought a brand new 2007 VFR. It was on the floor at the dealer for a long time. Been doing the research and bought it over the weekend. I love that bike! It's a total blast to ride. The asking price was $7999, I got them down to $7500. I think it was worth it even though I was hoping to go a little cheaper but y'all know how the dealers can be. Hope to make some new friends here and if y'all have any suggestions about the 2007's I would appreciate it. Congrats Turbo CBX on your new bike. I know you will enjoy it.

    Welcome!

What part of the country are you located?

I just got a call from my dealer, they have my "replacement" RWB in today in the create. Hopefully I will be able to go retrieve it tomorrow.

You know, I totally agree. I have had a few 85 & 86 interceptors (86 500 being my favorite up until now) and I was always in love with the color scheme. I had a 1000 hurricane i couldn't get excited about and a Katana I absolutely hated.

When I saw the 07 RWB in May of this year I just had to have one. I fell in love with it all over again. I smile every time I looked at it in my garage. I can honestly say that if it wasn't for the 07 RWD interceptor, I wouldn't own a street bike. and if I had not been able to find another brand new one (thanks to Shawnee Motorsports having one brought in) I'm not sure I would still have one right now.

No problem with used, but I know I would constantly be comparing a "used" one to the "new" one I totaled last month, plus the urgency of getting a new one while you still can.

So I guess I'm saying, I know exactly how you feel.

Charlotte - my '86 Interceptor - is about to go into a winter conversion to become a track bike. She's the bike that I put 40K on in under two years and because of that love I'm a VF/VFR man for life. Black is my favorite color but the 25th Anniversary scheme is the *only* color that I prefer to black on a 6th Gen VFR. Every time I get on The Knight Saber I'm glad I was able to get one.

    new 07 rwb

Hi all, been lurking for a while, well I finally pulled the trigger & bought one on Sat.. I have wanted one for a long time & my wife couldn't take it any more so she said "get it already" you should always listen to your wife, especially when she is telling you to buy a new bike! Well it wasn't with out sacrifice, I traded in my 03 Magna, a bike which I really liked. I picked it up from Cycle world in NJ, it was about 8k out the door with tax & trade in. Ok price, I just hate paying dest charge but there aren't too many more new ones around & this one had 0.0 miles on it, not a mark any where, said it was right out of the crate. Any way I hope to meet some good people here & learn a few new tricks. Here are a few pics... 07 vfr & 08 m-50 010.jpg 07 vfr & 08 m-50 003.jpg 07 vfr & 08 m-50 005.jpg 07 vfr & 08 m-50 006.jpg

Does anyone know of a new RWB with ABS anywhere on the east coast? I've been looking and all I can find is non-ABS. I've found a killer deal on a RWB non-ABS, but if I can find ABS I would prefer that. I'm going to Georgia in 2 weeks, so if anyone knows of a RWB with ABS new on the dealer floor between Virginian and Georgia, even Kentucky or Tenn., I would love to know.

Didn't want to ask the sales folks because I may have ridden it home!
Go ahead, give em a call

I just picked up my VFR this weekend. The dealer has 3 '09 models, brand new, for $7,999. I picked up their last '07 RWB. I think the RWB is much nicer looking than the black or grey, but that's just my opinion. Anyway, if anyone wants to know where to find a '09 for $7,999 feel free to PM me and I'll point you in the right direction.

    Hey everybody,

I thought I'd drop a line to let you all know I never did get that RWB w/ABS. The dealer told me they'd located one in Michigan, and he even had his secretary call me to let me know. She told me he was going to call me the very next day to get things rolling, and he never called. I was going to pay the shipping too. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and that if somebody tells you they're going to call, they should do it. So, I let go of the whole thing. I had made it very clear that I was ready to go, so I don't feel like there was any issue with wires getting crossed. I never really felt like they were in a hurry to help me find it, so I'm fine not dealing with them. I was working with the owner directly after a salesman played a bunch of games, so I thought I was in the hands of somebody who was really going to get it done.

I'm in no hurry to buy, but was pretty excited. FWIW, it was First Coast in St. Augustine, FL.

There are still a few RWB's (non-ABS) that I keep seeing, but I think I'm just going to wait to see whats around the corner.

I'll keep an eye open, but I'm not too optimistic.

I did see that the same '04 abs in asphalt black appears to still be floating around in Winter Haven, FL. only 5000 miles or so, but $5k just seems a little high to me, even with two bros installed. I'd probably jump on it if it had the hard bags, but it doesn't. Finding those bags in Asphalt Black new would probably be a tough find too.

If I understand correctly the only real differences between the 04 and the 07 were VTEC programming, turn signals amber vs smoke, and the wiring harness recall not affecting the 07. Any other issues I'm not thinking of ? I like smoked lenses, but figure I can change those out if its that important to me. I can get the recall done, or do the necessary mods myself on the wiring harness. Is the VTEC programming something that can be user updated ? Or can it be done with the swap of the ECU ?

If anybody sees an '07 RWB with ABS new somewhere, please let me know. Thats still the one I want.

    All the best,
    JP

Typical half-ass dealer sounds like. I swear, I have walked into too many of them over the years with cash in hand, telling them what I need/want (and not even discussing price yet), and told them to call me when they get it in.

Rarely do they ever follow thru. And they wonder why riders speak so ill of them. Half-assed bunch. AT BEST.

Oh...I bet those hard bags for the asphalt one are still available. I saw that one as well on ebay and remember it well when it came out. I liked the color on that one too. I think you may be mistaken on their availability, I'm guessing. Have you called Honda-san and asked?
