What songs make you want to ride? What do you like to listen to when you ride(if you do), or just before you go for a ride?

There are no wrong answers here, musical tastes differ just as much as bike tastes. The music has to ignite something inside you that makes you want to ride

    Ride on!

    My picks:
    Red Barchetta-Rush
    Spirit of Radio- Rush
    Ride the wind-Poison
Takin a ride-Don Felder (Heavy Metal soundtrack)
    Motorcycle Song- Arlo Guthrie
    The 59 sound-The gaslight anthem
    Ride-Joe Satriani
    Hurtin' Albertan-Corb Lund Band

While I don't listen while I ride, I'm often humming RUSH tunes in my head (is there anything better...). Specifically, Spirit of Radio, Red Barchetta, Limelight, Entre Nous, Freewill, Xanadu, YYZ, The Trees, etc, etc, etc. Also, pretty fond of various Pink Floyd, Who, Metallica and System of a Down tunes.

BTY, I hope you caught the RUSH Time Machine tour in Seattle. The boys are about as good as ever...

I tend to listen to audio books when I ride. They provide me with something to kill the time with on long rides. When I listen to music I tend to drive to the aggression of the song playing. For instance, if Simple Man is playing I tend to drive really calm and docile. Then if something like Highway to Hell or something plays....well....I drive like I'm on a Highway to Hell.

God help me if I ever listen to Techno while riding. I will probably warp to my location!

Are you using headphones when you ride? I'd like to keep at least one ear to the road... wondering if I should just cut one bud off a cheap pair...

Yeah I listen to my IPhone Headphones. I have not had any issues hearing while listening and I hear all going on around me. It's not so loud that it washes out important things.

Most of my favorites are downright wrong for riding. New American Metal bands like Lamb of God and Devildriver. These guys take you to a whole new level. I try to fight it i promise!
