Based on your avatar, your naughty parts stopped tingling about 18 years ago. But for the rest of us, +1.

I have no doubt it'll look awesome in red but the black, oh man, be still my heart. I bet it'd like even more stunning with silver wheels. I'm seriously thinking this is gonna be my 2nd bike.

    "I don't presume... "
"But you do! Revealed, your opinion is."

"Anger, fear, aggression... the dark side are they. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will."

"Powerful you have become, the dark side I sense in you..."

"Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force."

"I find your lack of faith disturbing."

"I can feel your anger... it gives you focus, it makes you stronger!"

"The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner, now I am the master."

While my new steed is white, I too have "gone to the dark side", or so I've been told... But, i find it kinda warm and cozy over here...

While I still love the Viffer, and will forever morn the loss of Cap, sometimes the grass is indeed greener...

    Besides, Emma is HOTTT!

I stopped off at the Ducati dealer on my way home from work today Joey. They've got an 848 EVO Dark parked on the showroom floor. I asked if I could get some pics of it in the sunlight, and General Manager Joe Meinerz was gracious enough to wheel it out to the back parking lot for me.
It has a matte black finish that's kinda similar to the Asphalt Black 6th gens.

I asked Joe if I could push the bike back into the shop to get a feel for the bike's weight.
369 lbs. may sound like a lot Joey, but I'm here to tell you it's not.
My old '95 900ss has a dry weight of just 410 lbs. and it feels like I'm pushing an old Schwinn ten speed when I wheel it around the garage.
After pushing the 848 EVO Dark my 900ss suddenly feels like I'm pushing a bus.
Throw some carbon fiber goodies and titanium at this thing and OMFG!!!
    Can you say "featherweight"! :party2:

If the performance numbers are correct than this 848 EVO Dark really stacks up nicely against my RC51. It has 151cc's less engine capacity yet makes 5 more horsepower. It makes just a few less ft/lbs. of torque than my RC51 but weighs a whopping 61 lbs. less.
This thing should be an absolute hoot to ride in the twisties. Can you say "BIG FUN"! :whoo:

The front clip really looks cool. Reminds me of my buddy Jeff's all black '05 Yamaha R1 Raven. Just needs a dark smoke windscreen to complete the look.

The instrument binnacle subframe is made of magnesium,I believe the valve covers are too.

I still wanna see it in Red though.

Wow! Thanks Stosh for taking the time to snap up pictures of this dark beauty. I wish I wasn't so damn broke. :frusty:

Yeah, a dark windscreen will look badass along with some silver wheels.

All this bike needs is a dry slipper clutch, so it makes "the noise" & I would say (if I may be so bold), it would be the perfect sport bike. Bravo Ducati, bravo. I would rather have this than the Aprillia RSV4 or Duc 1198. There comes a point when too much power is just that, too freaking much.

    KC-10 FE out...
