    So.

I would consider myself mostly a pleasure rider but I have grown fond of riding hard when road conditions/traffic permit.

I've had my 07 for 8 months (about 2 months of actual hard riding)

A month ago it did it in second gear I swear. The front wheel didn't just get "light"...it got OFF

Today Comicus and I were out and about and it did it in first gear. Not "light"....OFF.

    woops! or... WEEE!

Gotta say I wasn't in a "balls to the wall" riding position, nor was I in a leisure position either. But holy ______.

Whoever says these 6th gens don't have enough GO juice is nuts

my gen4 will do a wheelie in 2nd gear. well sorta, the day i bough it i took off from a toll booth, hit second gear and front wheel moved side to side just ever so slightly. might not have actually come off the ground, but it at least broke traction.

I currently have 1-tooth up in the rear, and the front gets light in 2nd gear but hasn't come up on me. (1st gear, sure)
Also, that's how I think the tail section 'should' look! All that passenger crap removed, and a nice fender eliminator for license plate relocation. The plate looks to be in an illegal location for my state, but it definitely looks good to me.

I agree with you on this: under very hard acceleration (and I'm a huge guy), I can get a second gear wheelie. Every time.

Man I love the dark red finish. Beautiful bike MTB!

Just to be topical...I don't think I've ever done any accidental wheelies, but I'm a huge guy. :stripper:

pulled an accidental myself on the 3rd gen tonight. May have been 1st gear, not sure. Came out of a corner with a fit HOG in front of me. He throttled up hard accelerating up the hill undoubtedly trying to show off a bit as he broke the speed limit. I dropped 2 gears, twisted the throttle while letting the clutch out at the same time. The front came up 1, maybe 2 inches at the most and maybe not even for a whole second as it hit the red line. Surprised the crap out of me. Needless to say, the bagger was left far in the rear view mirror.

I had mine come up completely accidental when I was getting on the highway from a stop at yield, I stalled, cranked it and slammed on the throttle not to get run over, front came up a good bit and yes, it was quite the pleasant, ass puckering surprise!

I popped one this summer - hit a bump during acceleration though a corner in second gear right about 7000 RPM. Hmmm. A bit unwelcome! Didn't know the 6th G would do that.

I had a cop friend who had a 6th gen and he could pop a wheelie easily and maintain it. I've done accidental ones in first... once when sitting next to a Hummer limo at a light here in Vegas. My buddy on a ZX-12 were goofing off revving our bikes at a red. The Hummer limo got into the action and we were all laughing. All of a sudden, the light turned green and I got nervous and released the clutch too soon.... whoops, there went the wheelie!! The limo driver must have thought I was some bitchin' bitch!! LOL!!! Little did he know I scared the shit outta myself!!

I can just see that... my wheelie story is from when I bought my EX500... I thought its a 500 how much power could it have......... the bike answered that one in short order..I gave it a rev let the clutch out and the front tire was almost vertical. and I was freaking a bit cause the biek was heading for a bank of payphones ....Luckily I was a ble to let off the throttle and bring the nose back to earth....didn't hit anything but I ALMOST dirtied a pair of shorts..
