    Hi All,

Just picked-up a new project bike to keep me busy as the winter approaches here in Toronto. It's a 1990 that was low sided and left to sit for any number of years before yous truly found it on Kijiji and bought it for $140.

It's rough and it doesn't work ... i guess that's to be expected for what I paid for it.

This is my second 1990 VFR - I've always loved the looks and ride of the 3rd Gen bikes - even though I count a 2002 Vtec as my main bike.

I've had the thing running for about 10 seconds - but it's hard to get going and not consistent. I've had the carbs off and cleaned four times already - so I'm a bit stumped as to what might be wrong.

I have fuel and spark - so I'm not far from getting it going...suggestions and advice are appreciated.

Far out. If you need some custom leathers check out SYED LEATHERS in orlando. He will custom make what ever you can dream. I am in south FL, Orlando is about 3.5 hours away give or take. Cheers.

mm hhm I love the 3rdgens check your fuel line under the tank...
check your sidestand *make sure the bike is in the upright position before you start it*
clutch in even in neutral, then when she fires, let it out ***make sure it's in neutral.
IF it stays on post then go from there.

also... I'll buy it for 400 if you decide to not use it ;-)

I also have a huge slew of parts that you could use sitting here...

head cage, headlight bucket rider/passenger pegs...

I saw someone in toronto posted some plastics in the classifieds for a decent price as well...

    GL
