Hi All. I've recently purchased a 2000 VFR from Washington (I'm in Vancouver). I've searched the forums but couldn't find the info I need. I'm wondering if it's possible to buy a new speedo assembly from Honda, and then swap it out to change from MPH to KPH. Not really a huge deal if I can't do it, but if it's possible for a reasonable cost then I'd be interested. On that note, anyone out there with a speedo assembly reading in kilometers for sale?
    Thanks!

hwy do you need to buy a speedo, if you have a digital speedo then its simple to change from Mph to Kph by changing the program, this will also convert the miles odo to Km so you know how many are on the bike. its in your owners manual. pm me and ill walk you through it, its almost the same as setting the clock

Thanks Zen...but the speedo isn't digital. Essentially, I just need to change the face of the speedo dial.....and I think this can be done. Just wondering if anyone else has already done it.....

Oh...just to clarify. I don' want to change the entire gauge unit (combination meter as it's officially called). I just want to change the speedo assembly inside the gauge cluster.

You could just buy the kph converter sticker and stick it over the mph markings- Cheap option!

That is true. But I do a lot of night riding, so the stickers might obscure what speed I'm going in either MPH or KPH. Not sure the cops would buy that story....
