I have'nt taken off my levers yet, but was wondering as I couldn't find it in the manual. I have 2000 vfr800. Are there bushings in the levers at the pivot points? I have had a few bikes with bronze or brass wear bushings that were easy to replace? Is the wear right in the aluminum to bolt, or is there a replaceable brass or bronze or plastic bushing? Just for the slop horizontally I don't like. Maybe a stupid question?
What about the best levers aftermarket for the 5 gen viffers? They are adjustable and I do like that feature, but wouldn't mind another set as well. All responses appreciated. Regards Russ

I replaced my levers with brand new Honda factory original ones. They're allways a little loose, I would check the bushings you have to see if they're worn and/or have no lube on them. While replacing the bushings is a great idea, don't expect it to take out all the play (up and down play)

Thanks for the info. Perhaps they are designed that way to prevent wear from being too tight? The bike just had the 25km service and they were greased. I have used teflon tape in the past so I'll look at it some more. Thanks for the awesome link too.
