Has anyone had gauges modified by bluegauges.com? Also, I just got an 07 R/W/B VFR for Christmas  and would like to know if the gauges changed from the 06' gauges?

I see this is your first post, So welcome to the site... You'll find great info here and the people are helpful as well. As for 06 to 07, I think the only changes they made were the colors choices. If i'm wrong someone here will set me stright. Congrats on the new bike.

I just got mine back from Scott at bluegauges. All I can say is wow! He did excellent work and the turn around was awesome. I highly recommend him. I had mine changed to all red with red t/s indicators. It looks great and I couldn't be more pleased. As far as I know, the gauges are the same on 06's and 07's.

Hey Jev, what can they do with 5th gen backlights? How much would that be?

They don't have anything on their website for a 5th. I'd recommend e-mailing scott@bluegauges.com and ask him about it.

I know 5G's use bulbs, which can be easily replaced with colours etc.

I snatched this from some website quite some time ago:

"The 5th Gens use bulbs instead of LEDs. They are type 194 bulbs, you can find LED 5 inverted-tip, wide angle LEDS"

So maybe LEDs can be used with the 5G sockets. IMO the information was creditable enough for me to save it. Watch for colours that might conflict with the dial numbers and needles. I can remember seeing pictures with beaut lit dials, only to not have needles.

This is on my to do list, one day when I get sick of looking at those sweet faces, especially on dusk.

Welcome Kevin! My '06 came with amber (orange/yellow?) backlighting, so you can make your assumptions from there. Jev, I'm glad to hear of your positive experience with bluegauges.com; I'm one step closer to jumping in... I'm thinking of going all blue. Should look good on a white bike...
