    Greetings,

After 5+yrs of motorcycle-free living, I've decided to return to motorcycling. I began poking around the interwebs looking at the 2010+ VFR1200, and I stumbled on billmaa's moto-vlogger channel on YouTube. His "I hate the new VFR" video came up on my search...

His videos include several series of trip-vlogs that he shot as he traveled the US on his Gen5 VFR, mostly with his friend on a 'busa. The trip-vlogs are prefaced with "BWOM", referring to his intent to travel to all 50 US states By Way Of Motorcycle.

His channel can be found here: billma's YouTube Channel

His website (seems to be outdated, but gives some backstory) is here: bywayofmotorcycle.com

The videos made me regret selling my '98 VFR, but have inspired me to get off my duff, find a riding buddy, and get back on the road. Mainly due to cost, I'll be buying a Gen6 (2006-2009) once I get my house in order.

Thanks for the great site. Hope you enjoy the videos as much as I did.

    'spud

YouTube and such is blocked at my work, but interested in checking it out when I get home. I post a lot of my VFR vids to my YouTube channel, though my M3, shooting, skiing, off-roading, and other vids make their way there as well. Welcome back to the 2 wheel world. I've let some bikes go that I regretted later ('90 Honda Hawk GT is the main one), but I really hope to never sell my '98 VFR. I love this bike dearly, as does my girlfriend.

You really can't go wrong with a 5th or 6th gen VFR, especially for the price. The 1200 is nice, but ludicrously expensive. I'd choose the new ninja 1000 or the triumph sprint GT over the new VFR.

How do you like the RT? I had my eyes on some 90's era 1100RS's when I picked up my 99 VFR last summer. Couldn't really find a bimmer I could afford.
