My dream bike would have to be a Honda NR750; arguably one of the most exotic (and sexiest) bikes ever made for the public. The other bike in consideration would be a BMW R1100S Boxer Cup Edition.

The BMW F800GS (fully geared) is my dream touring machine, although the R1200GS is probably better suited to the "Year around the globe" lifestyle.

The Suzuki TL-1000S (w/ full fairings) was a pretty special bike. Having owned a SV650S, I can only imagine how much fun the TL would have been.

Last but not least, the 1937/1938 Brough Superior SS-100 would be my "Just because it's beautiful" choice. Unlike the others mentioned, I'd need to win the lottery before getting one!

Good choices here Gavin! I've a 750 MV, and it's an awesome machine. I wouldn't swap it for anything.

As to the Magni Guzzi; I've recently been offered a mint 'Australia' with only 5,000mls on the clock, but to buy it I'd have to sell my VFR (RC30). I'm torn both ways. Damn! What a decision to have to make! Would I regret it, I wonder..?

ps. Sorry chaps, just realised I've not posted here before. Hi! (..senility kicking in I think )

    Finally drew you in!

I'm in love with the Tiger 1050 right now. Sorry, can't think of anything real exotic.

I've just been offered my old stripped down Guzzi Spada back for 200 quid!(its been in a hedge for 10 years)but a friend of mine bought it and he's gonna do a REALLY nice job of it,so I'm happy with that.MV's are WAY out of my price league(and my VFR's got geardrive cams and a good race pedigree so I'll console myself with that(RC24))Had a Ducati GT860 once, nice but fragile(reason for buying the Guz).Ah,one bike'll have to do me,I need a car for business..

Difficult choice, when I had me Guz,I wished I had something that wouldn't go scarily pear shaped when one wheel left the road..

Yes, I made the same switch for the same reason. Ducs are high maintenance compared with old Guzzis. I've an early Guzzi, and can give it a full service - inc. valve clearances - in under an hour. (Try that with a belt or gear-drive Duc..!)

These machines are like dinosaurs when compared with the VFR though. Plenty of character, but not so much composure!!

MultistradaS touring, although someone at work has one and it doesn't sound that great even with a pipe. The BMW GS would be a great alternate.

The RSV4 would be sweet but I'd have to go for the Tuono V4 for the hooligism.

    And a cb750 cafe racer.

As dream bikes go I'd dearly love a 1098R or RVF/RC45 and GPZ900R found new in crates.

I want a MonoTracer. I'll never give up regular motorcycles, but once I win the lottery...
