The bike a few years back developed a problem with the clutch not disengaging. I purchased and installed a master cylinder repair kit. I still have the same issue. I have bled the line several times to no avail. Could this be the slave cylinder? I have taken it off of the bike and I have pulled on the clutch lever and it moves some. Not sure how much it needs to move though. Maybe 1/16th of an inch. I have read on this forum that sometimes the clutch plates stick together. I had it running and drove around with it and it didn't "break" them lose. Does anyone have any thoughs?
When I rebuilt the slave on my 500, it pushed the rod quite a bit further than 1/16". Have you tried bleeding the banjo bolts on the brake line? Air can get trapped in them and not come out with normal bleeding.
