i want to try rebuilding my own clutch

due to lack of funds curiosity i will attempt to rebuild the clutch on my 95 vfr. first i need help troubleshooting. when the bike is running in neutral i here noises i did not here before. when i pull in the clutch lever the noise goes away. do i have a clutch problem or not? will it be an easy task and enjoyable? can someone direct me to a step by step instruction with photos?

 

How many miles ??

May not be a problem with clutch; it's time to replace clutch only when it starts to slip.

Most clutch noises (rattles) are caused by wear on clutch baskets, very expensive to replace, so you might want to just get used to it.

A good carb synch sometimes cures a noise problem cuz the engine idles smoother.

 

the bike runs okay like always. at low idle i can here knocks periodictly. i hope it's nothing to worry about. i can live with the way the bike is running, i just don't want the noise to affect anything else.

 

I could not handle the noise and after thinking about it, I feel I don't have the know how to handle the job and let go for cheap. But i got another one. Yes!
