Searching Ebay and found this seller, he has a store and sells very reasonably priced leathers made to tailored measurements.

So, anyone with experience with these, or knows a thing or two and would like to share a tidbit of info

MEN'S CUSTOM MADE LEATHER SUITS/JACKET MOTORCYCLE STYLE | eBay

    thnx for your time.

I dont know how the hell they can afford to custom stich up those hides for that price. Seems ridiculous, when you stop to think about it. I got a pair of Held gloves I paid $200.00 for, and these people are gona kustom make your leathers for another $140.00? Seems nuts, I paid Syed Leathers $750.00 for custom leathers 15 years ago or so. I tested them out on numerous occasions and only once had the forearm area burn through, (low sided with a fluid retaining belly pan that wasnt tested yet) : ) Got a pair of Vansons that arent a stranger to the tarmac either.

Point is, I am sure they would give you better protection if you did meet up hitting the deck rather than say jeans and a t-shirt but, Life is too short to wear crap!!! I copped out on your answer I know  I guess I am a gear Snob

Most things that are too good to be true usually are. Will the seller provide you with references? I'd have to see them in the flesh before I made a judgment call.

Many of the less expensive suits are assembled outside the US or Europe. That doesnt necessarily mean you can't get a quality suit that fits you correctly and offers very good build quality and materials and therefore good protection. What it does mean is you need to find someone that has an outstanding reputation for delivering fit and quality even though they're outsourcing the building of the suit. What it really means is you almost have to personally know the guy that's getting your suit made and that he stands behind them whether it's fit or materials and actually has some crash story proof from folks to back it up. Not necessarily something that can be done on eBay. Maybe not impossible, but it may take some research on your part, which is always the case when you're looking to get high quality at a reduced price. Part of what you pay for when buying an A* or Dianese suit is that don't have to do those things

The ad says (in not great English) if I am reading it right that there are no labels. This may be a manufacturer who makes togs for one or more companies.

Something to think about is that maybe the hair of the wee beastie is still on the inside.

You get what you pay for. It would be interesting to see before you buy, who knows, they might be decent gear for a good price. I am not generally a label snob, but the better known labels have been making gear for many years and have proven themselves. I would rather pay a few extra dollars for quality gear, it will save your hide better than cheaper gear. You only get one body in a lifetime, and it's gotta last so you can keep riding.

I have two very very nice custom suits from a local guy in my area that has outsourced his builds, at a very good price. I have met with him personally for fit and final delivery, which included my final fitting. Very good build quality, and he has the crash proof.

This is what you are looking for, a guy in your area that is looking to make a name for himself with the local sportbike crowd and make himself a bit of money.

There are tons of smart guys in CT, MD, DC, VI, etc. If youre still having a problem.....pm me

    flea bay leathers

    Guys,
Two guys have already answered the question....these are NOT A*, not Held, not Syed nor Bates...they are however offshore prolly Korea,VietNam or even Pakistan.....Whether or not the price is a good one or not is anybodies guess...one thing for sure the price is good or is it....you got to take that plunge O.P. using Pay Pal does give you some .....not 100% protection if you know what I mean...as it is said let the buyer beware....

That price seems way to good to be true. Since they are located in the Queens section of NYC I would be willing to take a ride and check them out if they would allow me to visit them and have them measure me. I doubt that they will be up for this but who knows. $340 seems way to good to be true. I bought a set of one piece Alpinestars SG-1 leathers on sale from Bike Bandit for $450 (retail was like $800) and I was very happy with the fit and quality for an off the rack suit just going by Alpinestars size chart. Like the other have mentioned, I would be very weary of these guys.

Why are so many people so anal retentive about overseas products, the majority of leathers, gloves and boots on the market are made in China, Pakistan etc. I have personally imported leathers etc into Australia from Pakistan (where the majority of leather goods are made) and have found the quality to be far better than the price would indicate. Lets be honest the cows in Pakistan don't grow hide differently than anywhere else, in fact a lot of the leather used in Pakistan originates in OZ. I have tipped it over at Phillip Island in my Paki leathers and can barely even see the marks, yes the linings not quite as flash and some times they look like theyve had a few saki's or whatever they drink (stitching a little crooked) but I havn't seen one pair here fall apart in an off, can't say the same for some of the BLING brands.

    ebay buy

    Guys,
Sidecar42 makes a very valid point! What isn't from off shore...heck all our autos are...dare you to find something in wally world that isn't Chinese...I did go look at his stats from ebay...they seem legit and feedback is 100% on 40 transactions....from 09 to date. I have seen several others selling same type of gear just didn't have option of different sizing this fellow offers....delivery is a tad long but I can understand that....I may give them a try on the cordura suit.....for $215.....blown more than that on some good benders.....

Check his feedback, then click the one from someone who bought the suit. You can contact that person from their profile page. I did that years a go when I was shopping for a back protector and there was some no name ones for cheap. I messaged 4 or 5 people, 2 or 3 replied with comments on the product.

If your worried about the quality. You can find fieldsheer and AGV suits for less than that at Iron Pony, Or just about any motorcycle gear site on line has killer deals on old stock once and a while. As for Pakistani leather , it's not just the leather you have to be concerned about, the stitching that ties it all together is extremely important also.

There's a new shop that opened up here in Toronto selling suits, gloves etc for around the same price. Quite a few have bought the suits on the local bike forum ad the feedback so far has been good.

Not much in the way of feedback; but the product appears to have most of the 'right stuff', and is guaranteed. If someone can check it out in person, great. If not - and you have to have custom-fitted leathers and cannot afford a name brand, then go for it and report here once you have the suit. The listing does state that the suit is 'race legal', whatever that means.

Want to thnk you all for contributing...

I frequently go to NYC and I inquired about stopping by for measurements and visual inspection of the suits. He responded as not being "in the USA" at the moment - whatever that means.

Who knows anything about this guy? Or who has a suit from him?

Send someone here to Queens to see them in person. I'm no longer living in Woodside @ 69th, or I'd do it myself.
