Thanks reg, though I've been on the site since august when I picked up my VFR. Not sure where I'll end up after this three month internship is over, so I may not be in socal long. Whatever happens, I'll certainly have fun with it.

Heh, I went up there tonight. Just got back. Next time I'll give you and JTC prior warning before I head up. I was able to ride for about an hour an a half in the canyons before the headlights lit up more than just the centerline reflectors on the road.

New member here and figured I would chime in. My father in law owns a house in Topanga, done the Malibu/Topanga canyon circuit for years. I had my first noob down there 8 years or so ago when I spaced on the majestic view coming down stunt I downed my GS500.(I was fine Pride hurt) I learned watch the road not the view. I live in Santa Clarita there is some good riding near me. Let me know if you want to ride. I am actually staying at his house for the next two weeks in the canyon.

Hey Ignore , Wow the same thing happened to on Stunt the one and only time I ever low sided my Ducati 900 . Had two buddies in front of me on 851's and another bud behind me in his Ferrari and I looked up for just a few seconds and thought WOW the coast looks clear then I was sliding on my stomach watching my bike doing a spinning dance down the road , and just put Staintunes on it a week before . Just another BIG lesson for the day , ALWAYS read the road especial for gravel in turns . You know the saying , Keep the shining side up and the rubber side down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have always been partial to the Starbucks on topanga right as you get off the freeway; crowded yes, but easy to find. Let me know what you guys think. The FAT BURGER in the same shopping center might want grub before the ride. Flip a coin between the two.

    Day don't matter to me

Sounds pretty good to me. I'll split from work as fast as I can and should be able to make it there around 6. I have ridden til 815 before dusk really begins to settle in. Actually the riding is coolest at 745 ish when your headlight starts to make the centerline reflectors glow... On another note, I have been taking PCH up there to avoid the highways, but it takes for freaking ever. I haven't ridden the 405 yet, should I to make better time?

Yeah you should to at least get to the 101 the 405 isn't too bad you get a car pool where you might be hitting traffic is the 405/101 change over. How good are you at splitting lanes its legal here otherwise the bikes cook.

OK , so Davis since you get off work so late would it be faster for you if you take the coast to Kanan and then turn right on Mollhuland down to the rock store , then we can head towards the valley threw the twisties to Topanga . The 405 is NOT the way I would go , Just a thought . That way maybe Igno and I can meet around 2 or 3 at FB and then be there when you show up at the store . Let me know what you guys think OK - Roy
