    Oh wow, VERY sad to hear of this! His posts were memorable and although I never met him, I consider everyone on this Forum a friend. I am very sorry for his family and friends.
    If it is not impolite to ask, does anyone know the circumstances? I feel we can always benefit from an analysis of the situation so that perhaps we all might be safer riders.

    Details are not out yet. I do not know what happened but I know Dave rode hard and fast. It could have been an accident caused by someone else, mechanical failure, or track riding on the street. Dave was an excellent rider and chose to live his life his way.
