Damn that sounds like me! actually, it's how I'm feeling physically more than anything else - the better I feel the sharper tool I grab, but the Valk's always there even when I'm doing pull-ups on a dime it's still comfy.

Being young (25), single (bikes don't argue), my garage has three bikes in it, with 2 in other peoples garages, I am viewed as an odditity among my peers.
I love riding so much and get looked to when everyone has a question i am going to be trying to get my MSF instructors license, just to bring in another bike each day of the class. But if i get two more bikes i could ride a different one each day of the week......... hmmm.......

My bikes are parked in a U-shape, I start at one end, and repeat.

Since I'm new to this site and forum this seemed like a good place to start posting. I currently own 2 bikes in my stable: a 1976 CB750F (modified) and my almost 2 month old 2005 VFR800. I've been wanting a VFR for the last 10 years and my 6th Gen couldn't be a better ride!

SilverSurfer, doesn't it feel good to finally get the motorcycle that you've longed for? I also had that same dream that started way back in 1986, the VFR750F in RWB. My wife bought me my first one which was that 1986. Then I just purchased a 5th GEN in RED, so I feel that the VFR side of my collection is complete. Welcome to the site.

As of yesterday morning my fleet size was reduced by 40%!

My 2 Yamaha XV920rs have a new home in Virginia, leaving me with my '79 and '81 Yamaha SR500s and my '02 VFR.

It's nice to be able to actually move around inside the garage again.

    Waah!

I sold my Rojo,4th gen to a serious member. He may reveal his identity if he wants. I kept my beetlebags and will be putting them in the classifieds soon.

When the 800ccV-five Interceptor appears, I'll be ready:peace:

    I currently have 2
a 2002 VTX1800 and a 1999 VFR (recently aquired hence my reason for joining this group)
I was originally going to trade off the VTX on a ST1300 but, couldn't bring my self to get rid of it...I remebered how much I always wanted a VFR - so I found a mostly stock 99 low mile red VRF for a steal of a price and just added it.

    The VTX:

I'm with you zam the cruiser/sportbike combination is pretty sweet - kinda like Dr. Jeckle and Mr Hyde riding style.

Yeppers - something to be said for just sitting back and watching the scenery go by w/no hurry to get anywhere in particular.

I've set the VTX up for long range comfort...just put some Barons Xtreme (drag style) bars on it to...

I haven't brought the VFR home yet (picking it up this weekend, bought it Monday on a "browsing" trip) but looking forward to running it through its paces...I'm curious to see if one bike ends up being favored over the other.

I agree guys - the sportsbike/crusier combo is nice. I am a VFR and GoldWing rider. I want to upgrade the GoldWing to a 98 Valkyrie. I checked the Suzuki M109 and it has good performance for a crusier. It is heavy and not really comfortable for long hauls - kinda disappointing. Why do manufactures build a crusier that has a smaller gas tank than most sportsbikes, also crusier brakes are crap compared to the brakes on a sportsbike. My idea crusier would have great midrange and loads of torque, with a 5+ gallon gas tank. I want a crusier with Bembro brakes and Penske rear shocks and racetech fork springs. I guess I should keep dreaming.

Hey Emon-- they are not the best looking bike, but if you want cruiser performance and turning you might want to look at a Yamaha Warrior. I know a few folks who have really modified them nicely. It starts with higher ground clearance and more sporting riding position.

I've ridden a Warrior, it's no match for a Valk with Progressive springs/forks and some cafe or drag bars. IMO of course.
