    Hi,
I have a 1999 vfr and need to change the r/r (usual symptoms). However the harness connectors to stator and battery have been cut and wires soldered directly. So from reading prior posts I see that the yellow wires from the stator can be connected to any yellow wire on the r/r. How about on the battery side?
    cheers

The battery side is definitely polarized, although I don't know the colors. Black or green is usually negative, and white or red is usually positive. I'm sure somebody here will know.

    don't understand the question.

yes, any yellow. The last two should consist of a red and a black as I recall. Red/Red, Black/Black and ride.

I can look later or tomorrow since my starter relay plug melted and I'm working on that right now.
