on my 84 VF700, I need the coolant hoses running from the lower head coolant tubes to the thermostat. I HAD a set on ebay, but the seller just sent my money back saying they were damaged or some idiotic thing, which REALLY displeases me.

so now I DO NOT want to go the ebay route again, I really dont like that option unless its dead last resort.

anyne on here have some advice? or maybe I'll be lucky and someone has a spare set of those hoses on a shelf in the shop to hook me up? I cant use radiator hose from the store, that much is for sure, gotta be pre bent or it'll simply kink. and kinked cooling hoses=FAILURE.

If I could suggest, check out David Silver Spares in the UK. They often can source hard to find OEM parts.

Could you take a picture of the hose you need? There's a good chance I'll have one at work. It won't be new though, it would be a used part.

I'd be happy with used. the shorter hose is the one I need.

Do you need just the hose, or do you need the metal piping too?

thanks! I saw you work in a salvage facility, if you've gota chance, how much do good tanks for the VF700 usually run? mine has some rust pinholes in it, I may just replace it if I can.

you can go to an auto parts store and ask them to look thru their small hose collection. You most likely will find something close or right on to use. Saved me several times.

I know I have several of those hoses (used), I'll check if I can find one without to much trouble today when I'm at my storage unit. We just moved last month and I have all of my stuff from my garage packed into a 10x30 storage. I get back to the thread this evening.

I didn't get over to my storage today to look for that hose..My son stopped by and screwed up my hole day. Of course I never mind the kids stopping by,,I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive when they do. I'll look for that hose this weekend.

that'd be greatly appreciated. I'd be ever happier if I didnt have to do a water pump and oxygen sensor on a $200 minivan in $50 shape..... obviously once the bike runs, I'll be thrilled to death.

Sorry, I was unable to look for the hose yesterday at work. I'll see if I can get out there right away this morning before it gets busy and let you know later today. As for the tank, I looked around briefly, but did not see anything yet. I know we had a few good tanks, but I just have to find them.

I do have the hoses in good shape. I also looked around for a tank, and found a few, but they are not perfect and would probably need paint to be nice. I do have a very rare VF700F/VF750F Solo seat cowl that is an original honda item. It's got the pad, and the mounts that go on the bottom of the seat. The tail has different than stock paint, but still a red/white/blue scheme, and I just found the matching tank for it this morning when I was looking for your stuff.

paint isnt an issue for me, rust is. as long as there arent any serious dents, or rust inside, I'm good.
