    Bautista had a great run.

In places there was about an 8 ft or so line that if you went outside of you had to flat track or high side.

I wonder how the Ducatisti are doing this morning..... a "tweet" during the race said "Burgess is dialing 1-800-ALUMINUM" :pound:

The bike night festivities were very good, I only witnessed one person behaving badly, the Indiana State Troopers went chasing some guy on an old 750 Kaw twostroke that kept acting out hahahhahahahaaa wheelies in a crowd are a no no. Since Indy is hosting the Superbowl soon there were some streets closed with construction of light rail so that forced lots of bikes into a bit smaller area.

    Great weekend

The Harley race....great fun, lots of fans stayed

Since coming out of the closet in the garb of Mother Superior, I am astounded that bare didn't chastise wheeliedude on the spot or at least whack him with his ruler for being naughty.

as far as the construction goes.....tell me about it!!!!! It seems everywhere we went the roads were being worked on, not just downtown either. Are you refering to the activities at the track or on meridian? I didn't go to the track at night so I'm hoping i didn't miss anything, it was just easier to hang out downtown near the hotel. Speaking of the hotel, we stayed at the same one as last year. Last year i ran into Loris Capirossi and Randy de Puniet at the hotel. This year, Loris Capirossi again, Alvaro Bautista, Ralph Sheheen, Scott Russel, who i actually talked to for a few.....that was cool, and believe it or not.....I'm not sure if he was staying there or not but as Lauren and i were getting off the elevator one time, Rossi and one of his crew got on. I'm not a Rossi fan by any means, but i do have alot of respect for him. And, it was pretty damn cool to be in his presence. I agree with you on the xr1200 race, that was a hell of a finish. I was suprised also to see that most of the people stayed for it. I was kind of hoping they would all leave so traffic would be easier when we left!!!

ive actually been wondering about those ducati GP bikes ever since rossi jumped on one and suddenly started performing at less of what we KNOW he is able to. in fact, he has been griping about the setups on the ducati, and i even heard that he was planning to leave the ducati team and start his own HONDA team here in the near future.

as much as the idea of a V4 ducati totally gets me off (and you KNOW it does yall too!), i cant help but to sit back and wonder what in the world ducati is doing wrong to where a world champion rider cant keep up with the front of the pack anymore...

Back up there in this thread there's a link I posted to a pretty good writeup on what's wrong with the Ducati. The net of it is that the riders have no front-end feel, and without that it's pretty much impossible to push.

As far as V-4's go, the Honda is also a V-4, so we're good to go!

We'll see. What Rossi said is they made the change in material (from carbon to aluminum) to speed up the process involved in making changes.

At this point in the season, is it even possible for those top guys to catch and pass Stoner?

I may be mistaken, but even if he does not finish the season, he still wins.
Someone who knows scoring better will have to confirm that.

It might be mathematically possible for one of the other riders to overtake Stoner for the championship; but me thinks Stoner would have to score very poorly while the other rider pretty much wins out. Right now Casey has a 44 point lead over Lorenzo - the only rider with a real chance. Dovi is 99 points behind. Four races to go = 100 points for winning.

IOW, not bloody likely mate.

It seems so, was watching the race live over at a mates house and just after the start was just in the middle of saying, " good Stoners in third to lets hope he takes a few laps to pass Lorenzo and Pedrosa" when he passed both and was off like a Jack rabbit.

Moto 2 yet again was excellent viewing with very close "push me shove you" argy bargy the whole race.
