What tires do you guys recommend for this bike these days. Do mostly aggressive, curvy touring.

I'm running a Michelin Pilot Power 2CT up front and a Michelin Pilot Road 2CT in the back.

3500 miles in and the tires still look great.

The VFR is a relatively heavy bike for a sport bike. Mine originally came with Dunlop Qualifiers, and they were not up to the task for the VFR. Wore out in 4k.

Pretty open question there Red. If you have a favorite brand of tires, be it Avon, Dunlop, Michelin, Metzeler, Continental, or Pirelli, they pretty much all have a good tire for your needs. I have Pirelli Diablos on my VFR; but that's because they were on it when I bought it. I'm a Dunlop fan, have RoadSmarts on my Trophy 3 and would recommend them.

IOW, pick your brand and get the best price you can.

I liked the dunlop roadsmarts I had on last set. Got 7200 miles, though i could have gone 8,000. I have the michelin pilot road 2's now with about 1700 miles on them and I like them better than the dunlops. They turn easier and feel more confident leaned over.

I got a set of BT023's in OE sizes front and rear.

    Got about 6,000kms on them.

No unusual wear as of yet.

    They feel great.

    tire recommendation

    Thanks guys,
Very helpful hearing from various riders re. tires. I like the fact that variety seems to be the rule. Found set of Metzler sportec M3's for good price. Will see how this works.
    Again, thankyou for your feedback.
